Informative review. Thank you. I bought two kits plus the fine finish head on what I believe is a close of the product line since spare parts and accessories are hard to find. Hope I don't kick myself for not buying a Graco.
On sale at Home Depot for 99.00. Of course I bought one. Just finished spraying a window box outdoors with a solid stain. I did see an orange peel effect, but I don't actually know what I'm doing yet, so maybe that's me. Easy to hold and fairly easy to clean if I got right to it. I'm hoping this will be a valuable addition to my handyman business. I looked at a Titan product after using their awesome heat gun.
Thanks alot Kevin for the reminder of how to clean the inside of where the marvel goes. This will help me in the future because unfortunately this time I broke a piece and the replacement was 60 bucks. Great video!
When using this or other similar sprayers with latex ,I have trouble seeing any major differences in finish or flow when comparing flotroel product VS warm water for thinning. Any input / thoughts on this??
Hey Kevin, will you please make a video on how to use and properly clean the capspray? I have used an airless my whole life, but now I own a cap spray. I use it occasionally, but always seem to prefer the airless, just because I'm so much more familiar with it. Once I cleaned the capspray and the next time I went to use it the needle in the gun was stuck in place and I had to find someone to help me with it. There aren't hardly any tutorial videos on how to properly clean the capspray either. I thought just running lots of thinner through it would do the trick, but like I said, the needle got stuck and the gun wouldn't work. And by the way, this video was very helpful!
I had this unit for 1 year sprayed few times and every time would give you orange peel effect regardless how you adjust and how much you thin the paint , waste of money , went with airless cordless from graco and I’ve mastered a glass finish results with their fine finishing tips , I enjoy painting with the airless
Just bought one today at Sherwin Williams here in Austin Tx. $448 I will be primarily be using it for touch up work on walls after patching. I do punch out lists for a professional paint company. Will update results asap.
I'm from the school of thought that if you want a tool that will get the job done then you will get what you pay for. I bought this thing 18 hours ago for $442 and it is a inferior product. I was spraying trim and doors and this thing did nothing but spit like one of those pos wagner sprayers that homeowners buy. They are refusing to do a full refund and only willing to give half my money back. Basically I will take over a $200.00 loss. DO NOT BUY!! UPDATE: It took a few more hours and me crawling up the Titan ladder but I finally got approval from corporate for a full refund, also found out TITAN is a subsidiary of WAGNER. No wonder the products acted similar?? Thanks for giving me my money back and doing the right thing but this sprayer is NOT recommended for the true professionals.
Bought this thing and wasn't impressed. Squirted paint instead of spraying, oozed out and spent more time cleaning this unit than actually painting. Not worth the $440.00
Sounds like you need to troubleshoot: try increasing air, decreasing material flow, or thinning the material. This sprayer works awesome when used correctly!
Spray man, I'm using the Flex Finish head with Proclassic Semi Gloss for my kitchen cabinets and I'm experiencing what I would describe as a 'dusty' look in streaks on my cabinets. Overall, it's got good coverage but if you look at it from the side (and catch the right light) you can see the 'dust'. I am spraying the same direction (left to right) each time and yet am still seeing this on the final coat. It's driving me crazy -- I cant figure out how to fix it. Any ideas for me?
I just bought one. It doesn't spray worth a shit! tried spraying latex enamel, with floetrol added. All it did was spit orange peel. No matter what settings I used. I ordered the fine finish head. Hopefully it works with stain and clear or its going back. I've been a painter for 20 years so I'm not some dumbass homeowner. A friend of mine owns one of these as well. Said his does the same thing. So either it's hit and miss as to whether or not you get a good one, or its just a shitty design.
good video on this sprayer. thinking about getting this for spraying semi-gloss latex on doors, jambs, and casings. would you do this with the fine finish head or stick to the standard head?
I don't think so. The standard head should work for basic doors and trim. I would get the fine finish head if you're planning on spraying cabinets or furniture.
I'm a professional residential painter and have used many handheld sprayers, some worked well, most didn't, when it came to spraying un-thinned latex. I've found with this sprayer on high you will get a lot of paint dust in the air, which it will do on lower settings as well but not as bad, so using a mask is important, as well as covering what you don't want dust all over if painting indoors. Also, the tip will spit as you demonstrated at the end if you don't clean it off right away before you set it down for more than about a minute. It does spray well straight up or down as long as the intake tube is in the right position and the can is fairly full, but I wouldn't recommend it for painting ceilings if that's what someone has in mind. All in all for a handheld it's the best one I've used so far of this type for spraying un-thinned material.
Youre a pro my friend 🙏🏽👍🏽
No way you will get that ball cage out with a screw driver if the pump has been used for a while.....

Thank You very much! I found a chunk of debris on upper ball. Pulled it out and now it works!
Finally found your video the most helpful one on here had to subscribe ty for helping me find out what goes where

Thanks for the tips. Nice job.
When air spraying semi latex I always use floetrol latex paint additive to help eliminate orange peel finish. The paint flows better and smoother.
Excellent tip. Floetrol is great stuff.

Part with the ball push is stuck like it's been welded. Lol.
Hell ya
Thank you very much Kevin. Well done and great explanation and instructions. I used your tips this morning on my Titan 440.
👏👏
Would the fine finish head be able to spray automotive 2k paint? Anyone tried this? Thinking about using this to spray bumper cover on car.
Can you spay regular Laquer ?
I loved how easy you explained the use of it.Great job
What’s a good setting to use to spray cabinets
Nice shirt

Very good video, easy to follow, and made to look so simple, even I might be OK trying to spray some stuff. Many Thanks.

I like this guy, great manor and great simple demonstration

Just used mine...and Love it....Is it normal to heat up .....Normal?? Thank you
Yes it is normal to heat up, but if you hold the gun gun close 3-4" it shouldn't make a difference in the finish.

Tried all of that already. Unit was returned and exchanged for another, old sprayer had a missing seal.
@@davidcolombani8799 What are your thoughts about this sprayer now 5 years later? Do you recommend it?
Also spray close only 4" away. That dust may be dryspray
I recommend ProClassic Modified Acrylic or oil (not latex) thinned 5-10% with Fine Finish head for cabinets

Emerald paint pro classic is trash

Scott Miller you have to clear the tip and attach everything right and tight. That annoyed me too but got the hang of it
dumbass homeowner? fairly large sweeping generalization there

At the point of demonstration of how to clean the unit, the viewer cannot see what you're showing in the video.
Good video just picked 1 up and i love it
