Reason there's glue on it is because they fixed it once and never wanted to deal with it again haha but but those lights you shouldn't unscrew from the bulb, the five screws before you pull it apart but the pulling apart part is that finally awesome
I know this is a old video I got the same impact and I can’t figure out why it won’t go in forward it’s stuck in reverse 😂
Any one know how the board comes out? It is available anywhere?
Learn how to speak in a dude over again
Sick, thanks for the video. 👌
The USB connector metal casing around the pins pulled out when I pulled the charging plug from it. Was looking to see if the "Guts" attached to the on/off button can come out so I can solder it back in. Actually I may be able to super clue it. Thanks for this, it looked to be threaded but I wasnt going to bet they didnt press fit it to save the machining cost. Thanks!
Can you do my scion xa i tried bt i dont have talent like you
You just have to look up videos everything is possible it just takes time
You good
Thanks for the video, I had to use a very small stubby flat head screw driver to twist the bulb in place.👍🏽
Bruh I didn’t even get to see the bulbs put in
ua-cam.com/video/7QMK5yTzDbQ/v-deo.html This guy made a better video mine was recorded with a bad camera years ago sorry hope it helps
Do you have to do this or could you just put the led ones in like that by themselves??
Yeah if you don't want to spend extra money on the right size bulbs you can always follow this video and buy the $1 LEDs and do it yourself
has anyone been able to find a replacement anvil that has the pin detent? ive got the friction ring but want the pin
Yeah watch my other video just the opposite buy the pin detent anvil and u can swap it easy
My have the same issues
I just changed the anvil for a friction ring you can check out my video if you like to do it yourself.
I put a better battery in mine for $10. Should make it last much longer. But if I turn mine on and put it down on something, it shuts off every time. Even if I just smack the bottom with my hand, it shuts off. It will turn back on and stay, but anytime there is even a mild impact to the bottom where the magnet is, it shuts off. So I just stick it where I want it THEN turn it on.
Those 18650 batteries have protected and non protected what changes is the nipple on top from i would make sure it's not the type of battery because they do short out and causes battery to catch fire. But yeah I agree it's better to buy good batteries since they last longer than the stock ones
@@stealthflythecoop6819 Yes, I paid attention to this. Both the original battery and the better replacement battery I purchased are button-top. I think I may have solved my problem a little while ago. I had a feeling that the conical spring in the bottom of the light was not strong enough to hold the battery fully in place when the light is placed down firmly on a surface. I removed the spring and stretched it a bit. The problem seems to be solved now.
How can you replace the A/C green light with an LED?
I've never done that one but I'm sure you will need to open the button and maybe solder a new led that one has a solid led soldered to the logic board
Ihope the american make some led very bright with the same components
Yall need a resistor on them LED things. Without, the filiment will pull current until the bulb pops. I really like the idea though. Thanks for the video.
They are COB LED I'm sure they have resistor...mines still working great since I switched them out
Leds pull less current my man vs a halogen. Not sure what you are trying to say here. Typically resistors are needed with headlights or turn signal LEDs to let the system know there is a load there. Without the resistor the LEDs don't work correctly because the current draw is so low it makes the system think nothing is there and that's why you get the fast blinking or flickering LEDs but in the cab no LEDs need a resistor and they are getting a steady 12 volts through the ignition cluster which does not have a computer sensing weather something is there or not .
Thanks very helpful
I did change my 2007 corolla to LED but 4 months later the buld is start to blink
What bulb size are you using. I'm thinking you have a bad connection it's probably loose you have to try using other bulbs with thicker wire some have a smaller wire. Let me know? I use the T4/T4.2 neo wedge bulbs white color.
You should not be around any tools...
Funny I know but I fixed it it was simple and also changed my anvil to the friction ring anvil... I learned a lot from this.i currently have 2 videos on how I swapped my anvil just in case anyone wants to swap it without buying a whole different tool.
People just file down the pin detent a bit. Works great!
Yeah couldn't see exactly what you were doing because you were out of the veiw of the camera...lol.

Wassap bro i have 2006 gli version not le or se or xrs it is for middle east and the ash pocket has a bulb i just want to ask you what is size for the ash bulb if yours has thank you
I'm not sure I put the t 4.2 bulbs that are in the description I didn't use the stock bulbs because they where amber color and not led
Just note that I used the t4.2 bulbs and not the housing because they didn't fit so I used my stock housing for the bulbs. Hope this helps you buddy.
ash tray light is T5, I swapped it yesterday
Thanks my man. Fixed my old one and video was simple and straight to the point !
link to order replacement capacitor?
Thanks, a friend sent me here. I'm waiting for my battery to die the last death then I was going to do investigative surgery. Now it's just surgery! Thanks again. Jim
The battery is a 18650 button top.
I use a regular nail punch when i do need to use it but i use a 1 inch extension with a regular spring ball pin when changing ends frequently.
Thanks brother for taking the time
I like how you hold it toward the camera for close ups after you were just working on it out of camera view. Excellent!!
Same thing with my new M12 stubby! Kind of disappointed with Milwaukee! :( My Dewalt with Pin detent is way better!
Live and learn.
My mid torque just stop turning all I hear is a click n don’t turn someone can help To tell me what I can be wrong
I would try taking it to a milwaukee repair facility it should be covered by the 5 year warranty.

Do you have a part number for the friction ring anvil?? I want to do the same
It's in the video description and it tell you where to buy it...check it out hope it helps
I cant find it in the description. Is it just the genuine one on ebay
Its literally not in the description i looked before i commented lol
14 mins in and you still haven't told us how to sync them ffs
Bro u just hold both buttons for about 5 sec then place them in the charger if it doesn't work the first time it will work the second time. Sometimes I just pair one if my friends wants to borrow one ear bud and I have to do this after to pair them to each other...make sure to always pair to the right earbud because that's the master bud.
do you know if the same part will work on others? I have a 1/2" stubby 2555P-20 that i want to change to friction ring
Not sure if that part number will work.. you would have to do some research but I'm sure it's possible to convert after all it's the anvil detent or hogring that changes the part is the same so you should be able to swap it.
@@stealthflythecoop6819 Thank you for the response, I was able to find the right part number for mine and will use your video as a reference. Very grateful to know this is possible via your video!
the issue is with the button, i use mine almost everyday and last week or so the button started acting up, now the button has no tactile feel and doesnt work at all. when i can find some more tools to disassemble it ill try to get to the real guts of the flashlight. you'll need to go deeper to find the real cause of most failures which is on the control board itself, cheap chinese parts... its built fairly sturdy and i liked the rechargable function, its just too bad that a 2 cent switch is the weak point and also the most difficult part to get at. but a $20-40 flashlight really should be more durable than lasting only 6 months even with everyday use. 2 stars from me on this one, as i didn't abuse it or even drop it.
So it’s better the friction ring than the pin detent? What about the dices? Can I use the same tipe dices in both sistems?
how to replace the damn usb connector
I bought then friction replacement and lost the metal ball do I have to use it, does the impact have one that I can reuse,
You need that ball it's important
stealthflythecoop just found it on eBay genuine part 5 shipped thank you
@@Rota_rd1 buddy the impact anvil has one use the old one bro try to remove it with a magnet
Thanks for taking the time to post this. My 2860-20 is driving me crazy with the detent pin hanging up. Guess I'll go with option 2. Trying to get change sockets under the car while doing suspension work was a PITA. Ignore the negative response posts!
👍🏽nice vid!
Awesome video, I can swap out my bad anvil without worrying about messing up my wrench...
Does this void the warranty? looking to replace mine
unfortunately yes it voids the warranty.
@@stealthflythecoop6819 Thanks! good to know
Thanks for the video! Pushed me to take mine apart to find the black wire had frayed and broke off of the LED board. Resoldered and put back together. FIXED!
It just say's "no tv shows found" 😔
Can u re-do a proper video?
yeah no problem I'll post another video when I have a chance
Does it light up when you click for pause and play?
no only when it's in pairing mode and it turns off after it pairs
@@stealthflythecoop6819 ok, thank for the response
Thank you!! You are best! :D
What is the part number that I need for the Anvil with ring?? Is it: 42-06-0128I ?? I too have a mid torque impact that has the pin detent and I HATE IT. Thank you :)
42-06-0128 is the part #
Nice zoom on the mounted cap. I follow your polarity lines I should be golden Thanks!
I originally bought the impact with the friction ring but exchanged it later that day for the pin, as all my other ratchets and such have always had the pin. Well the stupid pin on this thing will NOT release a socket for nothing. I have to carry around a small screwdriver or something to push the pin down and swap sockets. Super annoying! I ended up putting a small extension on permanently but looking to swap for the friction ring.
I know what you mean I had the same issue. I'm hoping Milwaukee fixes the the PIN detent and put a ball like all the other impacts with pin detent. but I think Milwaukee was thinking about working in high places because what the PIN detent you will never drop the socket. the friction ring is more for automotive purposes or general use changing sockets quickly.
