A day in the Life of Kenyan mom in Lagos||New MacBook Pro M4 2024||Nigeria is a good country
A day in the Life of Kenyan mom in Lagos||New MacBook Pro M4 2024||Nigeria is a good country.
I have been living in Lagos Nigeria for 3yrs now and all I can say is I have grown to love this country.
Spend a productive day with me as we navigate life in Lagos as mom of 2 and also unbox the latest MacBook Pro M4 2024 Edition.
This gift came highly appreciated from my beloved husband.
The media has led the world to believe that Africa more so Nigeria in this context is not a good place to move to or live.
Let me share the potential there is in this country ranging from oil production, availability of labour, raw material and other natural resources.
Africa can sustain itself through co dependance and inter African Trade.
Despite the macroeconomic challenges, this place has potential of becoming the best place to be globally.

Am a nigerisn living in the UK, everything you spilled out here is just the obvious truth about nigeria. one thing really do not like about my country which you rightly pointed out is the fact that if you're not rich you hardly command respect from people.

As a Nigerians, I must say Nigerians are so guilty of that but there are sweet Nigerians and very rude Nigerians. Its just absurd. We judge a book by its cover. I too am tired of that. I can't even dress so simple to pick up my child from school without having the fear of being wrongly judged.

Yep this is sooooooooooo true. Yes there are different prices for the same goods. If you want to buy anything in Nigerian market, you can price it with them. That's why most Nigerians are good debaters. That is Nigeria😂😂😂😂😂😂welcome😂😂😂😂😂best way to have 24hrs light in lagos is using solar but its so expensive to get. Gladly we bought it and we had never regretted it.

Their international airport is chaotic. You pay to use baggage trolleys and everyone asks for money for very basic help. Even immigration officers want some money for stamping your passport 😂😂. The airport is crazy and that's the first experience you get upon landing.

We treat those who dress like glub guys like that. We Africa should dress like Africans. Western wayward dress doesn't portray our Africa culture. Nigeria must teach other Africans how to be proud of who we are.

We don't do racism in Nigeria, we do pseudo-classism. Pseudo in the sense that most of the people projecting affluence are just packaging. Ours is a pathetic money-worship, money-centric society, one struggling with multidimensional poverty.

You really being fair in your appraisal. All those market lapses and unhealthy exposures started late 1970s or early 80s when military took over. Our public health inspectors are no longer up and doing but lazing out in their offices, collecting salaries. In the supermarket or in public Nigeria women are expected to dress very well not like call girls. Worldwide there are places they are not allowed in or honoured. Please travel to other places we have better places and cities in Nigeria. We have 36/37states plus FCT . Please take your adventure round. Are you married to a Nigerian? If not, then you're missing a lot. In Nigeria some tribes don't eat snails too but snails are eaten worldwide and highly priced for its health benefits. Kenya is like a state in Nigeria, Lagos state is a commercial city state and 5th largest economy in Africa. All Nigerians are hardworking people hence, they make money and live big. You will soon join them. Police are not that cheap but because of security challenges going on in Nigeria people are guarded especially foreigners so that they don't give us bad image. You heard about bokoharam and armed bandits from north Africa and from some west Africa countries and they see Nigeria as a place money is to attack. We have plenty mineral resources yet untapped that if a country just has 1 or 2 of it is enough to make her rich and these hoodlums are after it. Our security forces only protect people and it is not a sin. You know how many people died in your supermarket a decade plus ago, many foreigners. Do you experience that here ? No. Please enjoy our hospitality but always dress up well. Love you sister.

Rachel, unless you're maki g a purchase in a Super market, whatever price you're told is the worth of a product is what we call ASKING PRICE and it is subject to NEGOTIATIONS. For instance, if you're told the price of a product is N10,000 (Naira), you can price it for N6,000 and negotiate or bargain with the seller. You may finally settle for 7 or 8 thousand Naira instaed of the imitial N10,000. I trust this adds to your acculturisation skills.
