Twine 2 - Add Images from Your Computer or Web
Don't make these common mistakes when adding images to your Twine 2 passages. In this video I cover how to add images using the html img tag to any Twine 2 project. First I cover how to add images from a website directly to your project and cover the problems with building you Twine 2 interactive story this way. Next, I talk about how to add images from a local drive, hard drive or thumb drive to your text adventure game. How to find and use your full file path on mac and windows is covered as well as publishing issues that arise when adding local images to a Twine 2 gamebook project.

Can't you just store the image in the cloud rather than your hard drive and use the first option? Dropbox, One Drive, Google Drive, etc, with the appropriate permissions?
@Twineventure I tried your method by placing my image into my source file for Twine, but when I ran it; all I see is a question mark. Did I do something wrong?
God Bless you! This is what I need!
i must be dumb. as my brain didnt catch it lol
Nicely done. Thanks for creating this!
ok. if this is the intended way to do this. I am putting away this app until things get way easier.
😢 só um vídeo eu fui lá só tinha um vídeo
How do you do this using the web version? Nothing has worked for me.
thanks so much!
This video was really helpful, will love to see how you set up the variable. Thanks
Idk why, but the full file path didn't work for me on windows. For some reason my Documents folder was inside the OneDrive folder, which might've been the reason things were messed up. The paths looked the same, but copypasting didn't work. If I put in just the name of the image, the broken image in the test version showed me the path to the /AppData/Local/Temp/ folder. Somehow, adding the image in there lets me display it
Thank your sharing this! I did what you said and it worked for me, too
This was just what I was looking for! I'm learning this to get used to publishing games, and I would love to see how you set up the variable, and if it's not much trouble could you do a future video on how to publish with the images to itch as well? I've read that some people have trouble and I worry that my images wouldn't show if their on my PC.
