I have the coils from about 3 or 5 years ago. Which wires do i need because i can't afford to get new coils
I’m so grateful for Charles & BHR! A tremendous asset to the rotary community. My RX8 is my daily but I treat it like a stock survivor. BHR products are the only aftermarket parts I trust. Maybe someday Charles will start producing SOHN adapters? 🤞😂
now thats the mentality we need! BHR for the win
I own a 2004 Mazda RX8 in velocity red mica with a black leather interior, 6-speed manual, with all the options but it doesn’t have the navigation thank god.
Nice looking cars n heading to becoming classics.
Will you do you header in kit form. I have a RX8 engine in a Triumph Dolomite and adapting a made up header would be tricky (Lack of space) Thanks Phill UK.
We will work on the header soon but probably not sell as a kit. Watch our social media for news of the header release then email with this question so we can chat. Thanks!!😎
Had your coils on a previous car. No issues whatsoever. Had your engine mounts fitted to my current car. Good stuff. Currently putting money aside for your midpipe with a cat. I'd be interested to see what a BHR cat back looks like and sounds like! That's in my wishlist, too and the current choice would be Racing Beat.
Been using the new coils since they became available and not a single issue to report on them. I have somewhere over 50,000 miles of solid, smooth and consistent driving with them now and couldn’t be happier with them. I am deployed currently and very much hoping to run the long tube header on my Germany track car, so I’m excited to see those come back as well and putting the coils to the test in on the Nurburgring with a very special engine I’m building for it.
Oooo I am definitely interested in a BHR catback! if its as good as everything else you guys make I'm sure it'll be awesome
Still a local AZ RX8 owner with your coils and midpipe, clutch pedal!
good to hear your still going strong, keep up the great work.
Ur the man Charles!
your gonna motivate me to finally change out my steering rack on my 05 GT for next spring lol.
Wooohooo, Thank you for sharing this Charles. Helping me keep my inspiration on.
Going to Nelson Ledges next weekend and will know for sure how the coils work as well as the header with a proper engine.
3:16 Hope you keep your word lol
Safety sandals for the win!
Must wear proper foot wear for the job!! LOL
@@blackhaloracingCharles Also, 1 year plus on your global compliant coils - a good decision.
@@blackhaloracingCharles Also, 1 year plus on your global compliant coils - a good decision.
Came here to leave the same comment, was beaten to it, but not disappointed lol
Will these work with Ryan Rotary performance Coils that are plug and play that allow oem wires already?
Yes
@@blackhaloracingCharles thank you
I'm in with you
Thank you sir! Happy Thanksgiving!
Looking forward to a full race season with more BHR products on the Golden Rotor Racing RX-8!
Charles you've been an asset to the rx8 community. I would consider you a friend even allowing me to stay at your home. The love and kindness you showed me I'll always support your business. I still have my rx8, but have since started tinkering with my a90 supra. We don't see the rx8s all too often around my part of Texas like we used to.
Loved this video Charles! I just recently became aware of your company but you’ve earned my business going forward. Thank you for your unwavering commitment to the Mazda RX8!
If you could fab one for a 2013 NC mx-5…
LOL
how about RF Noise.. ?
RF noise is suppressed via the carbon-coating of the wire and by the spiral-wrapping of the wire around the core.
Loved your catless midpipe on my last RX-8. I’d bought it secondhand and there was no question as to build quality and longevity. The community appreciates your dedication for sure. I still regret selling my 2009 R3 Edition. Miss it terribly!
I found that out all too well having split one pipe and burned a hole through the pipe in a bend area.
Always been happy with your product and communication. I should be receiving my reinforced clutch pedal assembly today.
I guess I need to go out and get a replacement original factory bracket, as I've been running the original BHR ignition on my 2004 since around 30K miles....
The previous version of the BHR Ignition System required use of the OEM coil baseplate as well.
I love my 04 and am happy to hear you'll be sticking with it. Every penny I've paid to BHR has been money well spent. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
I had a gut feeling the rx8 platform was in its end stages so I started getting the good parts like the axialflow shifter, voodoo shift knob and finally the BHR coil kit which I ordered the day before this video. I’m pretty sure mine is in the background there since I just received it. I almost sold my RX but then I decided to drive it until the engine dies and then get a new engine from Mazda and start the journey again. Let’s hope the community will stick together and there will be parts around for many years to come. Can’t wait to see these coils in action.
Update: The coils are wonderful. Thank you. The throttle response is just perfect, car idles better and hits a lot quicker. Added the sticker to my car proudly.
Make sure it's not an old reman engine. Japanese engine or bust. Or rebuild by somebody reputable 🤔
Hey Charles, good to see your still around(Negrodamas)
I wrecked my rx8 back in 2018 i had coilovers ready to install i was goin to buy coilpacks from bhr i miss my rx8 😪
Search for another one with issues but good engine brother, and slowly build it. You will love doing it!
Yeah, some of those smaller companies are definitely full of shit though. I've been waiting 5 months for parts that I already paid for. But truthfully, BHR has always been super fast and helpful, others, not so much.
RX8PERFORMANCE?
@@null0022 How did you know?
@@jacobw3652 take a guess. Obviously I know for a reason. It was the same case for me and I try to tell ppl about my experience. Basically had to hound Scott every week because he always had some BS excuse.
@@null0022 I can understand shit happens, but I just wish he'd be honest about it. If he'd told me yeah, it'll be six months before you get these parts, I would have bought them anyway. But to expect them sooner and not get it, well it just gets irritating, and there always be a new reason why. I got most of the parts within 3 months, waiting on the triple canisters though. I'm starting to think they'll never come, did you get yours eventually?
@@jacobw3652 yeah the trio canister took a month to finish and 6 months to ship. The AST V3 was in stock on the shelf and took 3 months to ship.
Just picked up one of the CSF radiators BHR carries, Great! customer service. Can't wait to pick up BHR coils in the near future. Keep up the great work Charles.
Thanks for supporting the community. I'm new to it having bought a 2009 with under 10k miles a year ago this month. Glad to hear you'll be around as I aim to get one of your coil upgrade kits when I hit 20k miles.
Do you know if these mounts would be suitable to fit on a daily driver or are they more track focused?
Great set, I upgraded from my previous BHR coil set which ran flawlessly for many years. Just the best stuff from BHR always, thanks Charles. Say hi to Osvaldo for me. Cheers
great vids, thanks for them all
Glad you’re doing these videos. Hopefully it eliminates a lot of the repetitive questions I’m sure you receive frequently. Hope you and your family are safe and well.
Anthony Roe Thanks! We are doing well and hope your family is well, too.
Great video, short and too the point. Very informative.
Good stuff,Thanks.
Short sweet and good info. Nice video Charles.
The only downside to this is now I have to replace the 6 sets that I already have lol!! Once again, thank you BHR for your commitment and dedication to the rotary community.
Outstanding coils, if they last for our endurance race car. They'll do just fine for any streetcar.
Was anything salvageable?
ATL RIOT So far nothing was salvageable. Nothing.
Nice to see a rotor assembly video. What did you cut your side seals too? And is it for an N/A or Turbo application?
Should have lowered the rev limit to 3 or 4k if that was the case then.
mazmorbid Man, we warned him and he insisted he'd get his tuner on it immediately. He didn't listen. Some people can't help themselves, I guess.
Awesome!!! Didn't cross my mind that it had been turbocharged. Thanks again for your commitment and dedication to the rotary community. Can't wait to see what's next.
