Looks like you are cutting 1/16 balsa or 3/32 but with my longer ray 10 watt I can cut that size balsa in one pass at 800 mm at 45 percent power easily with air assisi
Nice!
Thank you very much!!
Where can I find the link to the drawings?

Hi John, I watched your other video with the cool rock music and camera views while flying. Absolutely gorgeous airplane. Are you a military pilot/airline pilot? Also about how many decibels are reaching the area around your head on takeoff and cruise? With the headset on do you think decibels to the ear are 80 or less? I’m looking at purchasing a Dr-1 from aerodrome in Missouri. Would it be possible for you to fly in formation and have the other plane video multiple aspect angles of your aircraft maneuvering? Love to see from that perspective. Btw best paint scheme I’ve ever seen on the dr-1. Thanks for posting!
What a great job mr. That plane is veeeeryyy nice. Sorry for your lost. But you hang on to it mr . Thanks for sharing this video 😃
Really great video...and I love your instrument panel. Nicely positioned and laid out...fits right in without being obnoxious. WELL DONE.
Pancake fly-in? Must be pilot speak ☺️
do you still have the Tri plane?
Rick - Yes I do, I did not fly it this year but I will next season
Wow, it looks beautiful!
I'm having massive problems with mine leaking here....it wasn't supplied with enough of the rubberised sealing strip...I've just been out to make a temporary plan and put draft excluder in the gap, but as it's moving parts, the rolling half of the roof, is "rolling" the draft excluder off the side. I think your solution is similar to what was in the instructions, but I can't find the same rubber sealing strip here in the UK. Any ideas?
I have come across some metal catch flange ideas that others have posted - If you are not a member - signup for this forum - some good solutions: groups.io/g/SkyShedPOD/topic/84255403#3889
Hi Martin, I don’t suppose you ever found them for sale in the UK? I’m having the same issue and can’t find the rubber L seals anywhere. Thanks, Russell
Bom dia Srs , tudo bem por aí com TODOS? Já tem algum representante no Brasil?
I'm just seeing this now wow my friend!!
Nice simple panel
JOHN! well done. that was a fun fly by and some nice terrain. What are you practicing for? somethings up, I just know it!!
mate!what'up! yeah~ superb . ;)
hello.man- bset - :)
eenjoyed!pro , farewell. amigo~
What kind of flight experience did you have before tackling the Dr1? I was hoping to get back into ultralights and was eyeing up the airdrome Fokker DVIII. I never had real instruction prior when I was learning the ropes on phantoms and quicksilver sprints. Of course I think its been a lifelong dream to fly a triplane but I'm realistic in that isn't going to happen soon (getting a license and what not). Thanks for any thoughts and help you'd care to share!
I had about 1500 hours of which were approximately 500 were tail dragger - the best prep for this airplane was a Kolb Firefly and Quicksilver - these are rudder airplanes with the ailerons acting more like adverse yaw inducers - taildragger time is critical thought - these can bite quickly as they are short coupled and high rotational pivot points. Call Robert Baslee direct and he can give you more pointers on what to train for.
Great video! Looked like a great day for flying!
So cool, thank you for sharing!
Glad to see you back in the skies.
Nice!
Awesome video! Just wondering, does the plane count as an ultralight, or does it fall under the light-sport class?
Light sport

Jab 3300 seems like everyone has those engines I guess its more reliable then the AeroVee, but the turbocharged AeroVee seems like a good idea can get 120HP higher up. I think Sonex finely fixed the turbo issues by installing that little radiator.
AeroVee seems to have more bad press - Jab - properly maintained - seems as reliable as anything else - love mine so far!
What engine you got in there?
SCAT Built 2180 100HP VW
@@countermine33 seems to do the job very well!
What engine is in it?
SCAT Built 100 HP VW 2180 CC
Enjoyed the video. I sold my Sonex some years ago and still miss it.
What type of range increase did you see with this antenna? Have you tested low level vs. higher flight?
would love a sonex, wish i could afford one.
Oh how I would give my left but to get to fly in a plane like that! That is #4 on my bucket list I made when I was 15 years old. I am now 61, and only hv 5 things scratched off y bucket list that has 21things on it. Odds not looking vey good at this point. I devoted most of my life to letting my two girls pretty much try the different sports and then soent all y money including retirement from FedEx on barrel and roping horses so my daughters could be competive in high school and semi pro ride I’d oh how I wished I could go back I now hate horses
How do you route power and signal lines to your computer ?
After putting on the Hyperstar - I put on a dew shield - I route power and USB down the side of the scope to a hub on the mount. I rotate the cables 90 degrees to create diffraction spikes. I use a drop of olive oil on the threads so they don't stick. It's rare that I take the Hyperstar off the scope so cross threading is not a huge issue or concern
Some dry lubricate on your threads will help prevent you from cross-threading !!!
What engine do you have?
Jaibru 3300
I wish you could have discussed focusing.
Fun to see our area from the sky. Looked like a busy night at the fair. Thanks for posting.
Cool !
Cool !
Awesome video! Cool triplane!
Very nice!
Great landing!
Do you reduce power to maybe 85% for your approach? 🤣
Yeah and had to go back to 90%. Damn throttle is like hitting air brakes when I pull it back.
Really nice video! Seems like a fun aircraft. What powerplant are you running?
Jabiru 3300
Really cool man
Very cool!
Nice flying!
