@@theslowrider 30-39. I started out with Zacs which was the first time riding that, went a bit sideways early on and after that it was in my head and went really slow for the rest of it. Bummed out but stoked at the same time!

@@tbc_mtb yeah racing under those conditions can be really mind blocking for sure… I didn’t made the race I planned to do, I went way slower than usual… but doesn’t matter tbh, just loved the time on the bike :)

@@TheButlerNZ man! I was so into lower starfish! It one of my absolute favorites all time… but last stage for intermediate was swigg which is good but less fun than starfish IMO

@@theslowrider Pre 2019 Starfish had a deep rut down (the tripple straight drop section I think) that you didn't get to choose in the wet... I managed to make it ok over the 1st drop, rear in the grove front right & high on the middle... And summersault to the right on the 3rd section... Luckily I was going slow as it was hard tale and old RST's with Y-brake up front. (and I was around 50 at the time...

For me the hyperview give you more a true feeling of speed. Even for a slow rider like myself. This warping on the edge is really visible when you pivot your head side to side, but for 85% of the time going straight on the trails it work totally fine. Yeap as you said the 8:7 ratio is something really worthy for multi social network content creator. And thanks for the feedback, I’m feeling better talking to the camera, but audio quality is still pretty bad quality 😅

I didn’t had enough time that day to come back 😞 but seen on FB some true hero had fixing it before I had free time to come back. And massive thanks for that work for sure. Dirt was actually not that wet on the day I went so I guess I didn’t do too much damage, hopefully. After seeing the conditions on JB a décide to go on solitary to do a bit of cleaning up, cause as you said , helping on the trail is the proper way to support the local. 🙏

@@theslowrider there are some that are better unmaintained... in fact I have been looking at one that would be perfect... slow, rocky and the longest single run in Wellington. Currently it exists... but is mainly a firebreak so doesn't count... What I would like to do... is start a track at the old Wellington Radar foundations (next to the Radome on hawkins hill. Zigzag down to the right of the intersection of the tip track and Red Rocks track... Shadow the red rocks firebreak to the coast on a (to be created) goat track on the west side of the ridge picking up at the coast for the big rolldown, back of track left missing the uphills then left round the knob above the turn off into the final gulley. The result would be longer than a trip from the top of the tip track to bottom of Pol Hill (Currently I believe, the longest single run with very few pinch hits... I would try and make it as free from pinch hits or flat bits as possible... and on top of that... No maintenance until a part becomes unreadable for single black beginners.. i.e like a continual Wha Out..

@@theslowrider Well it doesn't really exist.. Some parts are there (Used to ride to the side on the old trailbikes but long overgrown)... but I just traced it.. A theoretical 5+km run with no uphills... POTENTIAL... Make it janky and it will be a 30 min run (And actually a decent event run with vehicle access top and bottom.)... I've just made it straight for the mo but some more zigs could be added in several spots... I'll pop the KNL on public when I'm done and you can view it on Google earth.

ok actually Barking Emu to Serendipity end in Aro St is 8.5k with 9k potential if the old Radar site (partial old track exists) was run to the top of Barking Emu. My track is only 5.5 but theoretically can be made with no uphill or stages.
