Afternoon quiet time! Absolutely. When I had babies, I would put the older ones down for a rest, get the baby and lie on the couch with them. The only problem is, by body became so used to it, it thinks I should still do it! So I do when I can if I’m not at work. Sunday afternoon was Sunday rest. God gave us the Sabbath as a gift. Everyone who knows me knows I have Sunday rest. I do not do any housework on Sunday, apart from cooking. I thank God for this gift.

This message is for me, I need it desperately each time that Christmas is coming I dread it because it's brings to my memory event that God allowed to happen, God allowed it, because my husband was listening to a deep reflection Christmas message and he slumped and died before my eyes and in the presence of our little children. Thank you God for this message, God is faithful and just in all his ways

My first time hearing Mrs Elliot. What a beautiful teacher ! At 79myself, I can remember their experience with the Auca Indians. Never knew she had recorded these inspiring messages. How blessed we are to have her quiet , sincere, knowing voice sharing her knowledge of our Lord! Thank you so very much. The world NEEDS this message desperately. Trauma triggers cause fears

I need to be set free from sadness.

So often when we experience that “not bearing more than we can handle”… we miss the lesson because as we are bearing it, we are often angry & discouraged. If we could just see it & pause & gather ourselves into the Lord’s presence and ask for that promised divine strength & peace & joy…. OHHHH how different the moment & outcome would be! Lord Help us! In Jesus name - I pray!

I had a hyperactive son…first born…no naps…so I did institute a quiet hour years ago. It saved my sanity and taught him to be alone and quiet in his adult life. Such a wonderful practice.

Noy everything is God's will that happens to us. There is a battle on this earth and the enemy has some authority but will lose in the end when His Kingdom comes. So we can't put the blame on God for everything that happens. Evil certainly does not bring glory to God.

After going through many days , years, of worry and fret, this was Gods counsel and love to me this morning. Thank you Elizabeth.
