Legend no nonsense tutorial cheers young fella i was a bit worried about doing mine hence its not a toyrana but that was cruisy asf cheers....MR.G
Hey mate just bought some myself for my ssv ute are the front ones pretty much the same in replacing for windows?' just replaced the windscreen ones aswell super easy job and deffs freshens it up
Hey mate yea it should be the same installation, do the new ute belt seals have 1 clip? If so then they are the same, the side with no clip will slide in under the mirror plastic and the clip will clip in at the rear near the door handle
@satanss6813 yeah only the one clip sounds easy as then gonna do as soon as possible. Your video makes it super straightforward
What about the front moulds where they go under the plastic from the side mirror ? Do you need to remove the mirrors ?
Hey mate the front door belt seals just have 1 clip at the rear, the section that goes under the mirror plastic just slides in so you don't need to remove the mirrors
I didn't have a trim removal tool so I used my plastic egg spatula thing..worked a treat
If you do it with the windows up you can clean the bottom of the window better before you put the new trims on
Any idea what the seal between the roof and the top of the window is called? current one is damaged from a weather shield
Hey mate sorry I don't know what those seals are called, will have to chat to a windscreen shop they might be able to supply you with some or point you in the right direction cheers
@@satanss6813 Will do, thanks👍
The front door seals look like is goes under the wing mirror... is that correct...?? I been putting this off because I didn't want to remove the Mirror.... can you explain how to do it please.🙏
Hey mate yes that is correct, but there is only 1 clip holding the front door seals in which is near the door handle. So once you pop the clip off lift the seal slightly then slide it out from inside the mirror, same deal with the new one slide it into the groove near the mirror and push the clip down into its slot
Did this job today. Easy job. Thanks mate.
Excellent Aussie video 👍🏼 No bull, straight to the business.
Great job mate, saved me an absolute crap load of money, good video
I need to do the same thing to my Holden. Much appreciated for the vid.
Thnk you thank you your blog is the best
At that rate they are charging more than Brain Surgeons
Thank you who ever you are ,have a great 2022
This video has helped me save $ 157 per door to have them fitted by holden spare parts dealers on gold coast
Happy to help mate, I should do some more videos seems this one has been quite popular
Awesome detailed video. Helped me to do this myself.
Sorry, I deleted that last comment because I worked it out but didn't see your reply until I noticed it in my YT comments section. Lol. Anyway, I had a close look at the moulds and could see the alignment was perfect so figured the small gap must be intentional. Thanks again Satanss.
my seals for the doors are chrome (calais) 500 dollars oh dear....
I just used a plastic scraper to protect the paint and a flat head screw driver to pop the clips, when you buy the new ones you can use them to see where the clips are
good method to remove door seals..
Nice work mate. You made it look a much easier job than i thought. All my seals on windows and windscreen need to be replaced also. I thought the windscreen seals would need to be glued in place? Ebay...here i come
Thanks mate, the windscreen seals clip in all the way down then have two hooks at the bottom which sit under a lip
Hi mate. Thanks for all that info. I have a ve series 2 and noticed the HQ parts on your fence. What model hq you have. I have a hq coupe.
Hey mate I have a kingswood which is in the panel shop at the moment, will be a gts replica when it's finished
A coupe is a dream of mine but with the prices these days I think the only coupe I'll have is the pictures on my wall haha
Mate, legend. Went through the car wash the other day and my speakers stopped working for a few hours until they dried out....made me realise my seals might be proper f.u.c.k.e.d 😂 Did you buy them online or locally?
Yea definately need to do the seals haha, I got mine from napa auto parts 👍
I have a VE and the window seals and windscreen moulds have seen better days. I was going to try find someone to fit a them for me but after watching your vid it has given me the confidence to do it myself. Thanks for posting a straightforward and easy to follow guide.
This seems simple enough.. I’ve been putting off doing the seals on my Calais for quite some time 🤦🏼♂️
Yea not to hard mate, hopefully parked under cover so they rain isn't filling your doors and rusting them out
Hey guys are these the same figment process. For Vf
Hey mate shouldn't be to much difference between the models, buy the new seals then you'll be able to see where the clips are on the old ones that need to be popped out
Will this work on my au?
Au falcons are disposable, once it has issues burn it and buy a new one
thanks mate
Thanks for the video bud!
do you know where i could get the same rubbers just for the inside?
If you are in Australia try Napa or covs parts, even auto one or Repco. I haven't taken the door skins off the ve before, I am guessing the internal seals are attached to the door skin?
Hey man where did you get them
Hey mate I got them from NAPA auto parts here in perth
Best straight forward no nonsense VID...Much appreciated Thx
i love your video, please can you shoot a load in my wife
I object
شكرا ❤️👍 Thanks for sharing
Hey mate, Great Video! Ive bought the belt moulds off eBay yesterday for my doors.. they arrived today I need to do all my doors again I got an 07 SV6.. Just curious what was the blue masking tape you used? But yea great Vid mate definitely will help me plan on having a crack at it over the weekend
Hey mate thanks I just used painters masking tape so that i didnt scratch the paint, you should be fine to use any kind of tape mate
Thanks mate.. yea I’ve found some Scotch blue painters tape.. it might do the trick.. isn’t as wide as the tape you’ve used in that vid, but I think it’ll be ok.. I might have a look what I can see at work tomorrow too.. also mate what was the tool you used to help lever off the old moulds? I’m imagining mine are gonna be pretty stubborn to take off.. being 13yrs old
@@timhiggins2934 hopefully your clips are nice and brittle and give way easy, i just used a metal scraper against the tape and then a flat head screw driver to slide in above the scraper and below the seals and sorta give it a twist or lever up, if you line up your new seals against the old ones and draw a line where the clips are itll make it easier to find where the old clips are and thats where you want to put the flat head in to pop the old clips
Satanss thanks mate! Great tips and advice there I’ll use it for sure when I have a crack at it! Yea just wanna get it sorted worried about water getting in the doors.. already happened on the drivers door which was annoying I’ve got big old school weather shields on the front doors and water still got in haha bloody frustrating! Cheers and thanks again
Thanks for that 👍
easy to do i just watched anyway u carport who did it i like it what did u pay mate
Local patio guy, it is technically illegal but if the shire complain all i need to do is remove the clear sheets from the tin roof to the fence
Wasn't to much from memory around 5.5k aud with the roller door
Where do you get the new seals from and how much?
I got mine from napa auto parts, which used to be called covs parts. For the 4 door belt seals plus the windscreen moulds it was under $200 aud. If you buy chrome ones they are abit more expensive
@@satanss6813 yeah copy that
windscreen seal video needs be closer
At the bottom of the windscreen seals there are two clips just push those inwards then pull the whole seal up and it will come out of its groove
So the only seals for the windscreen are on the sides, did you need to seal anywhere else? Awesome vid
Hey mate yea just the two side seals, which are really only to stop dust and leaves building up since the windscreen is glued in. I only needed to replace the belt moulds and those two windscreen ones, pretty sure they were the originals and the car had spent alot of its life out in the elements
You are beautiful
