I like the Indian Chief of the same year much better. It was a lot classier and more reliable. Sidevalve engines were better than OHV engines back then. It would take many years before OHV engines would become reliable.

I have a 1990 H2 in my collection, and it’s undoubtedly my favourite bike to own.. & certainly the last i’d ever sell.. That H1 looks superb..& has the correct satin silencer which differs to the polished H2 💚👌🏼

A late gent I knew had a Black Shadow. What I especially like is that they're only at 4,500 RPM at 100 MPH. I have a Suzuki V twin which has a lot more power, 120 crank BHP but because of its much shorter stroke needs just over 6,000 RPM at that speed. Mind you, it was only £3,500 used when I got it in 2005, so not a bad buy at that price. Best regards from {Old} South Wales.
