When I was young , a Swami ingrained in me a mantra - “only when it is the darkest one can see the brightest star”. Friends, we are going through an extraordinarily difficult period, we don’t know when it will be over, perhaps this the perfect time to remember the Swami’s mantra - life is a play of shadow and light , only when it is the darkest, you see the brightest star.

Excellent speech Ankur. I became a public speaker when I joined Toastmasters during my career at AT&T, some 25 moons ago. It is an ice breaker, I encourage others to join the Toastmasters

Dear Ankur, Congratulations. The nervousness, the uncertainties which were present in some of the in the past presentations, you have got rid of them. This is the way to go forward. The public is willing to pay extra attention to the presentation. I also remember Dhaujee Kelly. After finishing her internship when she had to return to the USA, she had to break her journey in Delhi. I was able to arrange her stay in Delhi with one of our common friends. Again, in this story, you showed us your indomitable spirit and your leadership quality. “Jôdi Tor Dak Shune Keu Na Ase Tôbe Ekla Chôlo Re”, is a Bengali patriotic song written by Rabindranath Tagore. Your story mirrors what Rabindranath Tagore said. Cordial greetings, Wahid da

Nice presentation by the team! The Toastmasters itself is a highly motivating platform to bring in positive change in a person, and the befitting tribute to the World Champ of Public Speaking LaShunda Rundles is sure to motivate us, and more specifically the new generation who happen to watch this. With EQ being one of the core 21st century life skills, our young generation should be able to realize the importance of empathy and kindness, as Ankur has rightly pointed out in his speech. The basic goodness of human being is something to be felt, and I believe, a successful speaker is one who can connect not only through their words but also with their soul, and LaShunda Rundles epitomized just that.
