    I had Box Brownie 58 years ago and then progressed to an Instagram 35. In 1993 I purchase a Pentax Z10 and was told it was a good camera so I dumped the Pentax 35mm lens and got a Sigma 35mm and 80 to 210mm zoom for the same price. Cost me AUD$530+ Duty Free at the time so saved about 20% on retail. Time to put it on eBay with all the bits I got, reasonable Flash and filters, lens protectors. I lied that camera. *Thank you* for the video Paul and especially for how the locking bar works. Always wondered how it held the cable in and never realised the side cut-outs were an important part of that. 👍👍

    I keep coming back to this video hoping you have found a better fix. I have a replacement switch, but I keep repairing the affected contact. Any updates? I may just replace it with a toggle. An 18V high current relay might work… I just need time to sit down a draw out the schematic.

      This is still operating with this last fix in place. It is acting strange lately, I think the low speeds are now failing. I think I will have to replace the switch before this year leaf season. Then I will look into adding a relay for the high speed.

    5:30 Paul, have you noticed that with aftermarket batteries (not sure if all do this?) that even with the data cable disconnected , the machine will still boot with only the battery screw fitted. That is my experience with the crap Chinese batteries that I can get in Australia. I totally blame Paul Daniels, I am sure that he is behind this behaviour 🤣 I think that it may be something to do with SYS_DETECT_L on the crappy BMS board of these batteries?

    • @A2000MHz
      @A2000MHz 2 місяці тому

      With my experience if the battery does that it will not even last a month. Usually about 2 weeks they would come back and the battery would be 15% life left. We had a rash of them when I worked at Rossmann. We started making sure the battery would turn off or we would send it back to where it came from. We had a big fiasco where we didn't trust the whole order we got after finding a battery that the bms burnt up in the box along with an A1502 that went on fire back with the customer. Wound up recalling customers and returning something like 400 batteries.

      I have seen it, it is a good idea but I don't want to adopt a cat with the contingency that he can eat that food. Cats can be funny with food, either picky where they don't like it or what if that brand upsets his stomach. I don't want to re-home a cat or return him because the food didn't work. But if I wind up with a cat via the cat distribution system that's the food I will go with. Plus I think my significant other is willing to get allergy shots if we wind up with a cat like that.

    As someone who has a stick drifting PS5 controller, and is now finally getting some hall effect stick replacements, yeah... That analysis is spot on ESPECIALLY for people like me who were hardcore LittleBIGPlanet players back on PS3, slap attacks basically required you to do this: 1:48:38 (Not only that, but to also to animate Sackboy's body and arms) The time that I finally figured out that my controller had stick drift was while I was playing God of War to test my new laptop. It was the exact stick I used to slap away annoying players.

    Why does everybody always feel the need to shame certain brands? Maybe Ryobi isn't the most high performance brand but I can tell you one thing, in the small right angle grinder niche, they make the best one that there is, with a variable speed trigger and it's smooth as hell. Way better than the equivalent from Makita or Milwaukee. Way way better. They typically have more innovative stuff, even if they're not super high performance. I think the days of shaming Ryobi should be over. Update: okay I admit that as a shitty switch though...

      I think you are confused. I don't upload other peoples videos, this is my video you are commenting on here. About the control board for the thumbstick, there are a few kind of thumbsticks available. These have hall sensors that do not produce the same electrical signal as the original variable resistor. The daughter board is required to translate the signal to what the controller is expecting. Some other thumbsticks do not need the daughter board. If you have center point errors, when not touching the stick, you can buy adjustment boards with variable resistors to adjust the center point. I make these videos to teach people the proper techniques of soldering and troubleshooting. I very rarely "talk nonsense" in my videos, so if you think that's all this is, is nonsense, I invite you to look up and learn the meaning of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Yesterday i couldn’t find any video or blog regarding the mac switch repair, but im so glad today you uploaded this video 🤩🙏 Currently im using with different switch but no touch id work. Are there any chances to fix this? Can i swap the components of this little glued circuit with another new switch. Or should i use another glued circuit(cut the ribbon cable from center) and combine with the broken ribbon of the power buttons end. (Repair like flexgate method) Which part is the responsible for the touch id data? Is it the button or the glued little circuit? Please help me 🙏 please 😢
