😢my dad is a real cat lover. But my mother didn't have any animal in her childhood, so she doesn't even dream of having a cat. My dad agrees with my mom because the cat will scratch everything. of course my dad would like a cat. But he says that she will scratch everything, she will need a lot of things and who will play with the cat when there is no one at home? I tell them every day that when I come home from school I will feed her and play and never leave her. 😢

I don't care WHY my cat does it. There are already tons and tons of videos about that. I want to know HOW to stop it. It was cute the first time. Now it's just annoying. Anytime he curls up next to me in bed or starts to get sleepy while I'm holding him, he goes for the closest bare skin he can find and starts suckling (even my freaking armpit). I've tried moving away from his face and that works for about 10 seconds until he reaches his paw out to find bare skin again and darts for it. Picking him up and moving him toward his food bowl will make him stop until he curls back up next to me or starts to get sleepy again. He gets plenty to eat. The vet says he's completely healthy. But he won't stop doing this. I can't sleep in long-sleeved shirts because it gets too hot at night in my small room because the other rooms in the house are cold and the heater goes by what they say. Even with my vent shut and the fan turned on, covering every inch of my skin is not an option (I sleep in a t-shirt and long pants so, no, not nude). He's a sweet cat. I don't want to give up on him and rehome him if there's a chance I could break this habit. Our small town is already overrun with stray cats people are trying to find homes for. He'd just end up getting tossed outside like people do the rest of the cats around here or used as bait in dog fighting. I don't want either of those to happen to him. I just need help breaking this habit of his. So.... does anyone have any real suggestions?? Please.
