Honest Nuraloop review These headphones sound great. They sound as good as really any other headphones I've ever used. They might even sound better. But who cares? Why would it matter what the sound quality is? The product is trash. 1. You slide your fingers around the rim of a big disk to adjust volume or isolation (right or left, respectively) but you have to make contact just right, or it won't register. So volume ends up changing in fits and starts as your finger travels around the ring. 2. Every time anything is changed (volume, isolation, anything!) the transition is marked by a little bloopy sound at a frequency designed for psychological warfare. 3. If you grip them tightly, to adjust them or take them out, they squeal loudly and unpleasantly. Imagine someone was crushing a hamster in their hand, and it's terrified wailing curdled your soul... and it was all in your ear hole. It gets worse. 4. As you attempt to apply or remove the headphones you are registering touches on the touch sensitive ring of inconsistent skipping, from review section one. Whether or not you are touching the touch sensitive ring of inconsistent skipping is irrelevant. The touches are registering and, in a flurry of bloops at the same frequency of tooth pain (review section 2) changes are being made. Suddenly, you are at full volume, you've skipped 3 chapters in your audiobook, accidentally dialed a 900 number, and called in an air strike on an unsuspecting church retreat in Tampa. 5. The cord between the left and right side is preposterously short. I don't have a big head and it's far shorter than I would like. If I had a nugget even slightly larger than average size I imagine forcing the headphones into my ears would pull so tightly I'd get a bonus facelift. I suppose you could view that as a positive, not a negative, if you don't mind your ears being pulled to the back of your head over time, like an invisalign for your ears... which also screams like a crushed hamster and chirps ever status change with a sound that causes insects to spontaneously combust. 6. The part that goes in your ear is enormous. Imagine putting a little rubber nub on your elbow and then shoving it in your ear and trying to get an "airtight" seal. My ears are not large but my ear holes aren't exactly virginal. I've had a lot of earbuds in there. Never before have I had a complete inability to get a good fit. My left ear gets a passable fit with any tip medium or larger. My right ear... it might seem like a nice tight seal but if I move my face to smile or talk, it's gone. It might come back, if I reach up and adjust the headphone, but I don't want to do that because I'll end up skipping three tracks, muting the volume, and opening the garage door when I grip it. These headphones are made for people with tiny heads and ears holes that Rocco Sefredi could get lost in. 7. The over the ear adjustable loops might be comfortable. I don't know. They've never actually touched my ears. Seemingly they were designed for someone with 24Ghz microwave antenna for ears... or I am secretly a microman and nobody in my 4.5 decades of life has seen fit to mention it. They are adjustable... so I suppose I could literally kink the wires in an attempt to squeeze them down tight enough. I won't, though, because I am returning these headphone immediately. That way I will never again have to hear my volume changes confirmed with a violation of the Geneva convention. Don't buy them. They are like the Gen 1 Amazon Echo Buds all over again. They sound great but EVERY OTHER ASPECT is a bucket of fart flavored pudding with rat prints in it.
