Bro B, thank you for this 5 part series.Well presented. Something you might consider regarding 'latter days' in 1 Timothy 4, and 'last days' in 2 Timothy 3. Latter days (IMHO) departed the faith indicates these folks are/were at one time 'in the faith'. There are several groups that forbid all meats, such as Seventh Day Adventists. Some forbid certain meats, following OT Law of clean and unclean. Also,some sects do, at times, forbid to marry. They may outright forbid their members to marry for a time (most thinking the end is to happen in a short time); forbid certain members not to marry until the leaders say they can; forbid members to marry without permission; or forbid to marry unless they marry a former spouse (under certain conditions). Hope this makes sense.

some anal comments on typos in notes as i was watching: On your page 3, you have “fiver” instead of “filver”; on your page 4, you misspelt "oile" and have "olie"; page 7 you have "fevent" in the stead of "feventy", and "factuary" in the stead of "fanctuary", in your chart on Bod1602 you have “fiver” in place of “filver”. totally understandable that these can get gruelingly eye boggling, but if you were doing something with the notes later, it might be useful to correct.

I'm trying to come up with a reason why the KJV translators would have made these different. Why would the translators vary in these two verses from the others? Why does verse 43 read differently than the others ("of the weight of" instead of "the weight whereof was")? Why do they use "a" instead of "one" in two verses 43 and 61? Are long repeating lists more likely to be places where errors occur? I don't think that is the case. I know that later editions of the Italian Bible (1885 for example) were not consistent in the capitalization of the names of animals. But generally that was between different books, not within the same chapter. However the 1588 French does this type of thing at Leviticus 11:13 "l'Aigle, l'Orphray, le faucon". Sometimes to break up the monotony they may have changed up the language, but it seems strange in this type of list.

Great video and some solid points. As you were walking though this research and responded to Reagan's assertion that the only changes were within those 4 categories, I couldn't help but wonder about another assertion he made. He stated something to the effect that there were only about 1 change per every three chapters on average. This made me think of another guy who quoted both Reagan and Scrivner. He agreed that the changes made were only minor and very infrequent. So, if looking at just one verse as a case study you have catalogued over 20 changes of various categories outlined by Reagan. In addition, you have shown the adding of 3 words that obviously do not fit any of the 4 categories. How can Reagan's statement not be misleading? Let me clarify, the statement that the changes are only this kind seems to be incorrect. The statement that most happened while the translators were alive seems suspect since no exhaustive list of every change in every addition is cited. Even if true it is inconsequential to the addition of "of the weight". The other statement you didn't deal with directly was "The frequency of the textual changes is sparse," In just one single verse you show many changes, if this phenomenon is reproducible in other verses, then the statement of frequency is also false. I find it then to be misleading for several reasons. 1. It signals to the audience that there are very few changes. 2. It's false and demonstrably so (and surprisingly easy to do so) 3. Reagan should have known better. so, either Reagan knew he was wrong and stated it any way (he lied) or he didn't know because he was lazy in his work (he didn't verify for himself) or he did his due diligence but got it wrong due to lack of primary source documents (he didn't have access to the best evidence) either way he seems to be mistaken. 4. Those who insist on quoting Reagan cannot claim option two or three like Reagan might have since the data is widely available today and being talked about openly. Those who use his work in this manner today are obviously seeking to mask the truth in order to push a narrative. This is nothing short of manipulating their audience. Thank you for defending the KJB with faith, facts, and logic rather than with shoddy work on the level of a middle school cheerleader. 🤫 😂

Why can't tell people where the book actually originated. European " men of God" collected stories, edited some of them, then bound them together and called it the word of God. Truth escapes us even in church.

The context of the 1 Timothy 6 verses you reference is servants interactions with their masters and the heresy that the faithful will actualize materialistic "gain" as they persue and achieve godliness. Contentment with what one has in Christ is gain. I'm not seeing application to conspiracies, theoretical or otherwise. Also, why the reliance on the OED vs a good Greek dictionary and/or concordance? It seems a jump to use the definitions in the OED to describe the context of 1 Tim 6 or 1 Cor 13 as dealing with conspiracy theories. It is always wrong for believers to promote lies or false information about anyone. It seems possible to me that the term "evil" (ponērós) modifies "surmisings" (hypónoia) to differentiate it from non-evil suspicion. There are no word for word cross references for "surmisings".
