This last week I went with my friend Jim to stay at Goolwa in South Australia for a couple of nights.This is part 1.We went to various places on the Fleurieu Peninsula which is about an hour and some minutes South of Adelaide.We visited Victor Harbor,Port Elliott, Middleton,Second Valley and Milang as well as Goolwa. Still photos on Nikon D60 and Nikon D5200.Video on iphone 11. Part 2 coming soon.

This is a quick glimpse of an encounter I had with some young Singing Honey Eaters in Renmark West some years ago. They were completely unaffected by my presence.I had a wonderful 10 minutes watching and recording them. On reflection I must have been shooting on mini DV. Another glimpse of Australian Birds.

My first digital slr was the Pentax *istD. It is till my favourite one. The Barbary Dove is an introduced bird to Australia. Probably has escaped form home aviaries.A beautiful bird and has distinctive 2 part coo. It also can laugh at you from the seclusion of a tree with a very human sounding laugh.Walking around the local streets I often hear them before I see them.They are quite approachable. This one was by our back door and not really frightened of me at all.
