They're called "Walter Robotics Techs" on the info page on their website

It's a part of their live act. in the mythology of the characters they maintain and activate the robots that form the actual band.

He's come a long way since this. And also, Zero's voice and the crowd noises are distinguishable. So it isn't just Zero making for a rough show. It's the crowd too.

That guy's probably the most talented member of the band, just doesn't quite fit. Seems to be more of a funk/soul player.

Late reply, but I wanted to pitch my 2 cents. The audience's singing was horribly off key, and I'll admit I cringed a lot. I noticed that in some countries, an audience will prioritize the show itself, and I think that's to show respect and support for the artist(s). In America, the audience often prioritizes the emotional aspect -- the sense of community from sharing the interest. Singing along is just a different form of respect and support in my eyes. Given the circumstances, I imagine that a UK SPG fan suddenly surrounded by hundreds of other fans in person would be an incredibly emotional thing to experience.

MellowMagoo she definitely was. She seemed to enjoy it more on stage this year, but last year was crazy hot in there. It was a lot cooler this year. They were all on point all night. Miss it already. Hatch fever was great at the end, zero is doing a great job though 👌
