The English should be banned from entering every civilised society. They don’t care about the football it’s all about fighting with them & hooliganism, destroying towns & cities everywhere they go . They think they’re so hard but didn’t the Russians batter them & the Welsh lads had to give them back up against the Slavs ..😜

These 2 encounters signalled the end of the original tartan army - which had always been made up of Rangers fans. Since Italia 90, Scotland has predominantly drawn its support from provincial fans, not Glasgow anymore. No one in Scotland had ever expected English fans to travel up in numbers so it was a total surprise to most. The English firms spent both days attacking regular fans who had no interest whatsoever in fighting. The English firms were met with overall indifference and disinterest. Hence they were laying into anyone they could on the way to Hampden. Particularly on Victoria Road.

At the 1969 scottish cup final which celtic won trouble erupted in the Rangers end mainly kicking the shit out each other.I worked in construction with many Celtic fans they remember it as the hun with the gun 😂 game they said a gers fan had a starting pistol of sorts 😂.Rangers rioted 7 years earlier at wolves this is where the hun name was given as they crossed the border 10.000 strong like marauding huns.😂

Was at Central station for this game groups of Rangers fans doing the recce for the english lads (londoners ,mainly Chelsea as some had those half Chelsea half Rangers headgear)making sure they went the right way to hampden.Last thing you want is to waltz into a south Glasgow housing scheme the lads would have no chance Glasgow was the murder capital of Western Europe for decades if the rival gangs pounced it would have been carnage a liberty would be took. Now when the national side come up they come to our boozers the Bristol and louden bars in the east end 10 minutes from Celtic park but a Rangers/loyalist stronghold since the area(Dennistoun) was built well over 100 years ago.All the games Celtic play against english teams they come up to our area even had a group of cockney Man U in mid 80s good lads from Peckham.

1978 ? I don't think so. It's true millwall outnumbered west ham in the morning. But i thought west ham liked being outnumbered. And it was their top boys that took a beating they'll never forget. As for the evening, how does 200 bushwhackers become 500. Millwall were outnumbered 3 to 1 . A lot had been arrested because of a west ham geezer with a bandaged neck was pointing out certain bushwhackers. Everyone knows who he is. Just another west ham grass. It is true some millwall hid on buses or jumped into cabs and a lot got done. But nowhere near as bad as the beating the ICF got in the morning.
