Here's a play through of a song I recorded as a theme song for a show I always wanted to do called "Chappy's Guit Fiddle Garage" where I build cool guitars and talk about the process. The show may never happen, but the song is cool, so I decided to put it out there! Week 2 of my 2016 challenge to post a video each and every week this year!

Vinyl is available at CDBaby, so if you dig the painting, you can have your own 12"x12" version of this amazing work of art. Sit back, relax, and watch Jesse work his magic!

Hey guys, I've had some requests for a backing track for Jules. This is an audio track that features all of the parts of the song except the lead guitar part. Stay tuned for more - I'll be doing most of the songs from "Ascent", and some choice songs from our first album "Rock" from 2007. Good luck, happy shredding, and as always, thank you so very much for listening!

I'm tripping rn listening to this on spotify and holy fucking shit it's the most amazing thing I've ever heard. Seriously the feeling overflowing thru this is just beyond words
Supernice playing! Is there a chance to get this backing track?

Bass is such a great anchor the drums and and guitar can just flow like smooth metal chocolate.. fucking awesome
Fantastic anchor on bass let’s the guitar and drums go off and do their own groove

The bass is such a good anchor, she lets the the rest of the band go where they want

super song ! i love it:) nice Strat :) Dimarzio pickups? :)
I don't know if buckethead is an influence of yours, but this is up to par with his stuff. Keep up the amazing work, love the tone.
I just found this album about a week ago. it's been lost for a long time. This really takes me back to 2007. Such a great year. How you been buddy.
This is by far the biggest surprise I had with Rocksmith :) this song is pure emotion. Awesome job, Seth
Hi, can you tell me what kind of speakers you have?
That minor pentatonic sweep is classic Seth Chapla!! I remember it's genesis well over 10 years ago. Really cool concept!
I am still waiting for the other backing tracks :(
A friend just sent me a link to this song - you're immense mate. I thought I was a decent player but you take things to the next level. Need to pick up my electric guitar more and get back into that - it's where I started but acoustic stuff has taken over.
Amazing!!
Really like this!
Rock on!
Would you ever do a video on how you record your music? Or how you mix your music?
Nice man! really diggin your tone, what gear do you use?
Thanks man! have you ever tried bias from positive grid? its a vst plugin, pretty good in my opinion!
That tom hit at 2:20 still takes the cake.
This is just amazing. When I first unlocked this song in Rocksmith, I didn't think it'd be my cup of tea, but as soon as I jumped into riff repeater to get to know it better, I just fell in love. The guitar is simply amazing, especially the main solo. Even though I can't play it entirely yet, I try to improve every day. Thank you for the great song, Seth!
This is awesome! A slow and melodic start, build to some incredible shredding. Well done again, seth! I really like to see you having fun by performing your songs in your mancave :) I am looking forward and never stop hoping for a new episode of how to not suck at guitar by the way ;)
+Seth Chapla oh man i am full of ideas but they're just covering my weak spots.. I can play a lot of songs unless it's too fast, but I still don't know when and how to use which scale, which chords fit together and this theoretical stuff. That is the main problem why i am Not motivated to learn all the shapes because i wouldn't have any idea to use them. Otherwise, it's no one else's job to learn the theory for me but mine. I hope you get my point and maybe you have a quick tip or reference for me so i can improve. Thanks for your work (meaning your songs, videos, the lessons) and go on!
sick!
Really amazing. Been waiting for a new video from you and I hope I won't have to wait so long again!
Dude, never heard of the Lynch slide vibrato. Super easy and cool! New trick!
Love that sweep riff :) I'm practicing it now. It took some investigation to get the extensions figured out though hehe.
Smokin!!
This is so awesome, thanks for that! Which amp do we see on the table and which pedals/effects/programs do you use? I like it pretty much, keep on rocking and all the best for you and the kid :)
wwaaaaww
awwesome!
Hey Seth, this is awesome, thank you very much for sharing, this song truly inspires me to play guitar! I am trying to record myself playing a cover of this tune, do you have any of your naked tracks available (like Steve Vai releases) to import into logic pro x or equivalent? Many thanks in advance!
Man, I remember first playing this song in Rocksmith, I instantly fell in love with it! I still go back every now and then to play it just for the sake of the awesomemess
Great tips and tricks....thanks Seth looking forward to the next clips.
Seth, could you please tell me if you touch the guitar with your right hand pinky? I heard many opinions, some some it's better to touch the guitar, some say the right hand should only hold the pick and not touch the guitar. How do you do it? I couldn't catch it in your videos. Waiting for your response.
Would it be possible that you Seth started selling tabs for songs from Ascent? I can't find them anywhere in the internet and I'd really love to at least try to play some of the songs. I know that it's a lot of work to compose a song and I'm ready to pay for the tab.
@Seth, I can't see that on the video - do you lean your hand near the bridge when you play? I red naby times that I should put my hand on a guitar near the bridge, just like I do it while writing. BUT, for example, in Rocksmith 2014 instructional video they don't do that. How do you do it? I'm switchng from playing with my fingers to picking and I want to exercise correctly.
