Chevelle Build | Frame Plating and Strengthening

EP7 - Sorry for the black side bars, it might be an issue in the next video as well. Due to the Holidays (yes, videos are a bit behind) we let Eric go nuts with the camera and he did a pretty good job! Just a few camera tweaks (already fixed!) and we are off to the races! Sorry everyone, be sure to check out our new Facebook Group as well, you can find it from the MakeShift Facebook page. faceb...
Chevelle gets stripped to the bones!
Переглядів 1,4 тис.4 роки тому
EP6 - Come watch as we completely strip the chassis of the Chevelle tonight for sandblasting! It starts as a roller and by the time it goes on the trailer it is just a frame. Come and check out how we did it and hear about our future plans with the Chevelle project! Sorry about the Video and Audio quality, because of all the cutting I didn't want to risk the nice cameras with all the sparks.
Custom Chevelle Engine Mounts and Dash Removal!
Переглядів 8834 роки тому
EP5 - Check out as the guys dig further into the Chevelle. We pulled the dash completely out. Bobby worked on custom engine mounts. Sorry there was no outro, it was a causality of the holidays... We never got around to it. Sorry there might be a few more like it until we get past the stuff we filmed over Christmas and New Years and can get back on track.

Chevelle Christmas Teaser (QA1 Full Suspension Kit)
Переглядів 3035 років тому
We got a few presents this year that we weren't expecting. Turns out Eric was a little better than he thought. We had plans to make the Chevelle steam powered to run off all the coal we expected... I guess we are going to have to do something a bit faster since we have so many go fast parts now thanks to QA1!

Chevelle Engine Mockup - Twin Turbos, LS6, T56
Why do people create how to videos but don’t list where they get the parts from?
Hasta be best start to any you tube video
Curious as to why you needed the wheel spacer?
Just buy an Art Morrison backhalf - 2 hours worth of work
I have a 68 Chevelle that I want to put 335s under but I have got to figure out how to cut the outside of the frame
I would buy a plasma cutter if I were you.
I have seen where do you support the rear frame but I never see where you cut out the rear portion of the outside of the frame
check Fast Montys or Allisons Customs.
Bro got 13k views on a video and just logged off forever. Respect.
Please 🙏 don’t put circus wheels on it . 20 inch wheels are clown shoes
Can I just say being trendy by trying to stuff this wheel up under that well is still be drivable is a fucking joke from jump street . your looking for problem all over the place .
What tubs you used? Got a 1970 cutlass supreme nd I’m having a hard time finding the mini tub kit
Awesome work!! I was going to buy the kit and I just bought metal and saved a ton!! 2 questions if you dont mind answering.....how much narrower did you get with doing this? Was it 2 inches like the kit says? And how much narrower is your rearend housing from stock? I will assume 2 inces per side as well? Thanks
What happened to the chevelle?
Thanks for sharing!!! The air brushing, very nice! Very nice shop and vision , Thank You!
Is there any way you could wire the packs together? Instead of removing the individual batteries from them? Just use the whole thing?
Hopefully you are still responding to comments .... at rear of frame cross piece looked like it was not reinforced? Seems like everything else was addressed but no modifications to that part. Other thing was the way c channels were boxed didn't look complete and of course lots of slots and holes left on the frame. Were all of those needed? Overall project is coming along nicely ut looks beyond what most diyers should be attempting. I would hate to load up the chassisvonly to have the frame come apart.
This guy has probably never completed a project...lol
What year Chevelle?
This is so awesome I thought it was a joke at first. And your demeanor is awesome man. I subscribed so fast and can’t wait to watch what you will be uploading. Damn man you just set the bar.
I miss you!
You could build your own car from scratch with a setup like that
Eyyyy.. excellent professional to c. Big god bless you brother.teanks.m
Did you remove the entire original frame rail over the rear wheel arch or did you weld to it and remove the outer section of original frame rail?
I think you need a bigger shop
Quite an inspiration. I take it you don’t spend much time sleeping. 😅
that bridge crane is dope!
What an awesome shop. I could only dream
That’s a pretty cool garage
Bad ass work any updates
Wow what a shop!!! Absolutely amazing all the old equipment in there that's functioning. You are one talented guy that place is a dream!!
Bad ass man whats the off set on the wheels at the end?
V1 brakes a a 70 Malibu!
I’ve seen the GarageJ tour that is not a real “working” shop just a collection of bought not made projects.
What happened with the chevelle you guys?
Is this channel dead? They did some cool stuff
Unless you are using solid motor mounts, bolt them in - never weld. I am surprised you boxed in frame rail all the way back: is that reakky necessary?
Drilling across an existing hole... I keep some hardwood scraps around, and drill a hole in that, and clamp in place as a locator for the saw [final cut with no pilot bit] - works well
So what ever happened to this?
Got put on the back burner. Will be starting on it again soon!
My wife has here cleaning videos for inspiration.....i now have a shop video for inspiration to set up my new pole barn! Awesome!
WOW!....One hell of a nice shop you have created there...kudos to you!...
Nice car, I am doing something similar. Did your rear boxed frame allow for you to use the stock tank?
Awsome shop... Very nice collection of tools and equipment
just amazing what you've done with your shop , I'll be watching thanks .
good looking garage, the use of space is very nice and the valt door is cool
i know the spindle is fatman but is the bracket and hub also fatman for the CTS-V Setup
what hub and bracket did you use for the cts-v rotor and caliper
??
totally amazing
super nice shop. love it. best regards
Just awesome. No doubt years of work. Great job on the style and making about everything.
I love the header on the sander, haha!
Fantastic! I think you need a bigger shop!!
Love the garage. Where do the cars go?
