    Oh! So cute how she loves you brushing her...❤ but i have to tell you a high velocity blower (i paid $70 for mine)... is the BEST thing ever!! My husky loves it and it saves soooo much time. @grannik8819 I've heard alot about them but that's what stumped me was the price. I'll have to look because alot of people are suggesting it. I've heard a lot of people talk about them being good but also that owners weren't using them right so the dogs fur would get matted. I guess that depends on the user though

  • @wolffriendinus
    @wolffriendinus 19 днів тому

    My mom and I have the brush that you call a de-shedding brush. Our morkie (Maltese Yorkie mix) has a long coat, ears hair and tail that gets matted so easily. That brush is great at getting rid of the mats. You're right though, it does tend to pull at the cost which can cause them pain. I try to find where the mat is and hold the fur/hair between the skin and mat so it isn't pulling as much. But then, her coat is more like our hair so it's easier.

    • @revivedhomemaking
      @revivedhomemaking 19 днів тому

      @wolffriendinus yeah, it works great most of the time. That's why I like the no rinse shampoo it makes it alittle easier because it conditions the fur and allows it to detangle

    As the mother of a professional groomer, you need to invest in a high velocity dryer and a good undercoat rake. Also, you can replace the dry shampoo, which is full of chemicals, and leaves a residue on the dog with a 1 ot 3 water and vinegar solution. The goal is to remove the undercoat without pulling or causing discomfort.

    When you talked about using her hair to make 'things' out of ? There are actually companies that will do that - clean and spin dog hair into 'wool', and even make the item for you. Some of them are likely online. Years ago I got a beautiful white toque that was made out of my sister-in-law's Great Pyrenees' dog hair. It was absolutely odorless, and looked /felt like Angora wool. I still have it !

    • @auntdello5286
      @auntdello5286 Місяць тому

      @revivedhomemaking once the borer larvae get into the stems, the plant is basically toast. There are ways to fight them before that stage. Several videos on here about that. Depending on your zone, it's possible to start new plants for harvest before fall frosts. In my area the borer is so bad I went to a different type of squash called Rampucante. They are resistant to the borers. A bit different looking squash, but early, small ones can be cooked like zucchini. The older more mature ones can be used like butternuts.
