We are back at it again with hitting the last leg of the Chippewa Flowage in Wisconsin as we chase down Musky, Walleye, Small Mouth Bass, and a few other surprise catches thrown into the multispecies angling paradise!
This trip we focus on a few different moving waters and find a fun little couple of shore spots that are a nice little treat and break from the boat. It's always great getting back to your roots and go back to where you started to have an appreciation for where you are.

How to paint Tungsten Jigs using UV Resin
Nice job! Those jigs look cool! I have been messing around with resin and you had some helpful tips. I'm building jigs for steelhead fishing. Haven't tried then out yet. Do you find that the resin makes the jigs a lot tougher? I have made thousands of jigs with powder coating but I'm trying to make a tougher jig. I have just been using powder pigments mixed into the resin and coloring them that way. Do you think that will work? I really need to get out and test some of mine but still waiting for steelhead to show up!

What kind of paint do you use? I'm new to this.
It's a combination of automotive primer for the metal jig base, then acrylic based paint on top of that. It all gets sealed with UV Resin.

What kind of powder do you use
Mostly .008 and micro flake. Some mica powder. But everything is sealed in resin.
How do you secure the tungstens to the hook?
They are held in place by solder by the manufacturer. Holds pretty good

Its just transparent coloshift flakes and uv resin. I use specific ones for my business of course but thats trade secrets but they can be found on Amazon in small quantities.
