Haven't uploaded anything because I've been busy doing theatre! This one has been marinating in my brain for a while, though I don't know if I quite got to where I wanted when writing it. I'm hoping to overcome the feeling of "it must be perfect" these days. I'm gonna try and record more, but ehh maybe not. We'll see.

Our fave curtainupkaraoke made this track!! I love this song, but I've never felt 'good enough' to sing it because who can compete with Eva Noblezada?? I'm no Eva, but I like how I sound (mostly) this time around. Also I got cast as Noel Gruber in a local production of Ride the Cyclone! So maybe stay tuned for some fun stuff with that!!

This is a fun little song I wrote for a very dear friend for her birthday! It's bossa nova inspired, and overall just a lot of good vibes. I use a lot of imagery pertaining to the month of April, with the Daisy being the birth flower of the month etc. My ability to play diminishes as the song goes on but we ignore because alas I cannot be good at everything at once.

The creator themself!! So honoured you could see this bc i LOVE your tracks!! The note in the key I transposed it to is an A3 on the "then again i'm deranged" and a E3 in your og version. Lol I got the genetic lottery win getting the low treble clef voice (RIP me trying to sing anything from Lauren/Mariah/Kim tho unless it's pitched down)
@@themysticcactus omg i didnt know i was famous, thank you so much-- it might just be me being a high mezzo but even after the key change its so hard for me to get back into the lower register 😭 probably one of my biggest singing weaknesses is switching registers like that and you do it FLAWLESSLY, its crazy. makes me wonder if youd want to cover a starkid duet with me sometime... ?

This is such a cool concept and such a good performance! I really loved how you connected it to a different plot, even without seeing the rest I have enough clues to imagine a pretty cool storyline. One of my fave vocal moments was your riff at the end, it was *chef's kiss*!!

Noone's pointed this out yet so I will- I also love the body language!! You can tell MysticCactus wasn't just singing, they were FEELING the song, and I think that really sells the performance. Well done!! I also liked that MysticCactus did more of their own thing than just following Joey's choreography, alongside slight changes in the tones throughout the song, it feels like a whole new take on the character. This is everything a cover should be, I'd love to see more songs from the musical too!
