Hybrid Comel 1.0 merupakan satu inovasi berdasarkan gamifikasi yang diwujudkan sebagai medium agar pembelajaran subjek Matematik Tambahan adalah lebih menyeronokkan di kalangan pelajar. Elemen utama dalam inovasi ini adalah aplikasi robotik yang diprogramkan dan diterapkan dalam gamifikasi penyelesaian masalah dalam Bab Nombor Indeks. Comel adalah nama robot yang digunakan dalam gamifikasi ini dan tercipta hasil kerjasama Universiti Malaysia Sabah dan Persatuan Robotik Pendidikan Komuniti yang mana SMK Pekan Telipok merupakan peserta dalam satu program yang telah dijalankan sebelum ini. Kesinambungan daripada itu, idea inovasi ini tercetus dalam menggabungkan aplikasi robotik dan gamifikasi dalam mempelajari Matematik Tambahan khususnya Nombor Indeks.
