Totally agreed. I think outside of Alan Wake 2 and TotK, nothing even comes close. Both of those games are also examples of teams really being given time to make what they wanted. However, BG3 is just the peak. Will it become a new development standard, sadly no, but like you said, the possibility that even one studio will try this is a positive. Adrian's still bummed there's not more of Hi-Fi Rush and Lies of P in there though.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, it's all new territory with Konami and these remakes. After not doing any dev work in ages, we have no clue the quality of these games like Silent Hill and MGS3 will be. Hopefully, no battle royals....please...no. If done properly, there could be a good case for a 3v3 or 5v5 tactical espionage style game. Where strategy and how you approach the situation vs another team would be cool.

Adrian could see it was in early stages of dev. running, but the way it kept zooming the FOV in and out was a bit strange. Nevertheless, we have high hopes for this, Stellar Blade, Lost Soul Aside, and Project: The Perceiver from the PlayStation China Hero Project! Also, we gotta shoutout Black Myth: Wukong!

That clears up the quest structure a bit more. 😊

In the back of Adrian's mind, he was actually thinking the same thing. After playing the Diablo beta, it all depends on what you're looking for. Gameplay wise they're both a ton of fun, but you'll have more fun partying up in Blue Protocol as opposed to pure solo. Though the story seems to be fun in BP, Diablo will have a bit more moment to moment engagement and progression that isn't available in an MMO. (Different than a shared world pseudo mmo)

We actually agree with you. The fact is that most gamers inside certain markets don't think about many of the plus sides to mobile titles. As you mentioned, not all markets have access to consoles, PCs, affordable prices on them, and many other factors that can keep gamers from experiencing great games. Plus, with more titles like this, the mobile game market may have the chance to grow and expand outside of just the gacha stereotype. Thanks for the comment and your point of view ☺️

Combat almost looks a bit mashy, but with enough interactive elements that stays engaging. FFXV indeed had a disconnect with its combat since it wasn't responsive and was a weird mid-ground between traditional action games. Crossing out fingers that 16 turns out great on every aspect 🤞

Wow, the early early copy 😂. It makes sense that it would still feel dated at this point. A lot of those newer systems really improved over the years, but maybe trying to go the route of Crisis Core, Dead Space, or a bit of Metroid Prime Remastered would have been a better compromise?

Q3 is best bet if anything, since we can assume Q2 they would have just put the month-ish in that trailer. Q4 like you said, is basically 2024, and who knows what's in the mix for late/early next year for tentpole title releases.

@@frost1842 the delay itself is kinda understandable especially after platinum left. they already apologize for the very early reveal (they said it was a trend back then when you announce game even when it still concept). coping for the 9th anniversary stream (should be late february or early march) for release date announcement and hoping for more character reveal to ramp up the hype i guess. (i mean we talk about dev team that delay their horse race gacha for 3 years to polish the game and not announcing anything for Versus on EVO despite being a main stage game last year lol).
