Some progress with the srad seat unit, obviously it won’t fit a 2019 1000 so in this video we can see what’s been happening to make it fit, also fit the style I’m going for 😎 #suzuki #gsxr1000 #srad #gixxer #superbike #bodykit

After selling my original srad I’ve been wondering if I could style my 2019 gsxr 1000 in to a modern looking srad. So it’s my take on the styling, it will never look like an original 90s bike as that’s not the idea with this one, it’s just kinda like if Suzuki made a new srad what would it look like 👍🏻 #suzuki #suzukigsxr #gixxer #custom #superbike

So we took Don’t do it pink to the #bikeshedmotoshow and she went down a storm, so I thought I’d do a little update as she’s nearly finished, if you did see us at the shed, maybe this will shed some light on what went in to this thing !! 😎 #builtnotbought #caferacer #handmade #custom #honda #motorcycle

I have a pet hate with short fairings on new #sportsbikes so I made some fairing extensions which transformed the bike!!!! I made the bucks, then took molds, then made the parts which are now fitted 😎 #suzuki #gsxr #gixxer #superbike

Nice
Thanks Mark 👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice--well done.
Thank you krissi 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
Looking forward to seeing this completed. SRAD with more power and modern engine. What`s not to like. Remember years ago a Swiss bloke putting K1 motor into 600 SRAD frame, believe performance Bikes featured it.. What your doing is next level. Well done
Ya I’ve seen a few like that, this is just my take on a modern style srad if Suzuki were to reboot them, I’m sure they would do a much better job tho 😂
My first sportbike was a 1997 gsxr 750 srad back in 2009 and loved it. Always wanted another but they are all abolsutely beat to hell now. And the few in nice shape are priced way too high. One day ill grab another lol
You can still fine nice bikes, and tbh I’m not sure you would fine much better for the price of a nice 750 srad, there just iconic really 👍🏻
Awesome looking bike and master job! I want one.
Haha, shall I put you on the list 😝👍🏻
Lovely bike. Deserves better levers though...
They were on it mate, but they never bothered me tbh 🤪👍🏻
@Dustmonkeycreations I don't think there is anything wrong with them but I see them on every bike nowadays. I guess it's FXCNC who manufacturing them and I have their clip ons on the Busa because I'm using 1000 k5 forks. Good quality and great design.
Mate I would love to see you taking a mold to see the process. Very nice work
I think there is some mold making vids on the channel, I would like to but it just takes so long, I just get my head down and crack on 🙈🙈👍🏻
Stunning
👍🏻👍🏻😂
been following the updates on Facebook fantastic work pal .
Very kind Brian, thank you mate 👍🏻
You absolutely nailed it. Looks perfect and perfect shapes.
Thanks dude, I wanted it to flow with the modern bike, like an oem bike, I think it does 👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
I really hope you have lots of old photos of the Srad. Looking forward to seeing a before and after it will be epic and well worth the wait. Great work keep the videos coming
I hope so too! 👍🏻 Thank you buddy, I’ll try 😂👍🏻
I can vouch for waynes work i bought his #4 Gsxr750 srad last year and what he did to get it looking like it does is remarkable, well done mate on this project, your a incredible skill fella 👏🏼 👍 👌
I still miss her 😂
Never a fan of original SRAD, always thought the seat unit was out of proportion. This as nailed it ! Looks lovely 😊.
It is a big ol bum, this has been cut down a lot and re designed but still has the srad nod 👍🏻
gagging to see paint on it, fantastic looking panels mate! :)
Dude, so am I, it’s killing me with all the renders I’ve done, guna be epic 👍🏻
Love an SRAD hump but yours is even better, and perfect for what you’re doing. Glad I found you. Excited to see where this goes.
I agree mate, the hump is massive, it would have looked ridiculous on this bike, so yep, massive diet Welcome my friend 👍🏻
You are no idiot or numpty. Fantastically creative with tremendous attention and to absolute detail - your work truly does equal OEM. 👍👍👍
I fully agree! Great job.
Haha, thanks Alan, I do try mate, and trust me, this is the only thing in any good at 😂👍🏻
Ta Leo 🙏🏻👍🏻
As you said.. pukka!!. Keep up the amazing work.. see ya 2025!!.
Haha, I’ll try and get a vid out before then 😂🙏🏻
The tile of Custom means a build to your liking not others. Forget what other's opinion are about the build! You did a good job shaping the rear end and paint job.
Oh, I do it for my self 👍🏻👍🏻
fantastic work so far...going to be great when done.
Thanks mate, ya, let’s hope so 👍🏻👍🏻
The contrast between the backside and the front really shows just how much it's been hacked about, but as you say, the front side looks factory. Top work
Thank you mate, yes, tbh there’s lots more going on, I just forgot to say 🤪
Looking nice. Stay the course and make the moulds. I reckon you are a bit of a perfectionist and won't be able to rush things towards the end. 👍
Haha, thanks mate, tbh I could run these panels for now, but if anything happens then I’m screwed lol But I’m just dying to see the bike in colour 🙈😂😂
sick
Haha, thanks buddy 👍🏻👍🏻
Absolutely STUNNING, you've done yourself proud 👏 Just finished my Srad 750WT rebuild in it's original Gold & Brown. Completely original.
Thanks mate, oh wow, nice work, now time to enjoy, or maybe next year now 🙈
Really love these bikes
It’s a fantastic bit of kit mate 👍🏻
Hey , I watch your videos and they are so insightful . I am in a bit of a pickle and would appreciate your help .( with building a cafe racer) I have my sights on a cb900 hornet that i'd like to work on starting by changing the front forks into inverted ones ...and I really like the ones you have installed on the yours.I'd prefer the gold coated ones . Ive watched a lot of videos trying to understand which setup(R1/zx10/gsxr750/cbr1000rr) works best for the cb900...which have confused me more . I also need to know what the setup should include : front forks with the tyre rim ..or just the front forks (incase there are some that fit the old rim and discs). I understand that I'll need to use the old stem to attach the forks to the frame (mostly machine remove and press again ) ..what I'd like to learn is ,by fabricating the diameters of the plates(top and bottom ) , for the forks to fit in.. would it affect the overall handling performance ?? Also , how do we fix the top plate ( key fob ) , if the stem diam is less than that of the one within the plate ?? lastly : 2 things :- I'd really be grateful if you could recommend the clip-ons that are a exact match for the forks AND ..if you could do a detailed video of hot to install inverted forks ..that'd be brilliant for a lot ( and I mean a lot ) of people struggle with installing those !! Mybe I am overthinking a bit , however it'd be truly selfless of you to help, eagerly waiting for your reply . Thankyou.
Hi buddy, wow lots to consider, if you go on my instagram, send me a DM and I’ll try to help 👍🏻
thank you for the update, love the OEM look of the returns on the fairing edges.
@@redplats thanks mate, yes, just some details that make all the difference 👍🏻
Lovin the update.. and don't overthink the light/lack of space for fliming.. it's alllllll gravy baby!!. Keep up the good work Wayne!!
Thank you, well I try my best, I’m really not a technical person, more dusty 😂👍🏻
Love seeing the details of the process and hearing your thinking on the specifics - shows how much time and effort goes into these things. Great update! Thank you
Also, you're right about the side stand cut-out - a thing of beauty
Thank you mate, yes it’s all about the details which makes it stand out 👍🏻👍🏻
Love it mate 👌 👍
Thanks dude 👍🏻
Looks good will be ace when finished. 2 ideas from myself is to put a false hose (i have an old srad hose i think kicking around i can send if you want it) inside to fill the fairing and a big long round yoshi can to go back to the early 2000s. But thats my suggestions 😊
Yes I’ve thought about making a fake carbon hose, and a I agree with the yoshi, it’s all money mate, which I don’t have 😜🙈
actually it is looking quite factory i reckon wayne, very nice! :)
I think so too, I’m glad you agree 😂
Its looking awesome, cant wait to see it in the old skool paint scheme
Thanks mate, I can’t wait either 🤪
Thanks for the update. It looks great. Love the cut out for the side stand.
Thanks Simon, ya funny how the most un interesting part on the body work excites me, and obviously you 🤪👍🏻👍🏻
Great stuff!!!
Glad you enjoyed it mate 👍🏻
What kind of wax (the yellow one) do you use to fill upp the gaps?
It’s called filleting wax, you can get it from eBay of composite sights 👍🏻
@@Dustmonkeycreations Thank you! 😊🤘
Silly question but what glue is that?
Just a super glue, its all the same stuff, just different brands👍🏻
@@Dustmonkeycreations in a spray can?
@@ianshreddernelson3184 oh no, that’s an accelerator you spray on the glue 👍🏻
@Dustmonkeycreations nice. Liked your idea of creating the sheets btw very helpful
Just subscribed .will check out the videos later .
Thanks for your support dude 🙏🏻👍🏻
Like if you came from the racer tv channel😁
Haha, I trust you like the video, it was a bit of a shock when I found out about it 👍🏻
Just amazing work mate!! I wish you was state side in NY to build be a CB cafe racer
I wish I was your side too 😂 Thank you dude for your support 🙏🏻👍🏻
Watched the finished project on RacerTV. The under tail section cover was brilliant. Magnificent project. Love it.
Thank you my friend, ya it’s all turned out pretty well 👍🏻👍🏻
I love the use of safety equipment. Most channel's owners just do not do that
lol, don’t watch all of my vids then 🤣👍🏻 Thanks buddy 👍🏻
Crackin vid!!
Thank you sir 🙏🏻👍🏻
There's a photo you shared on Instagram at a point just before this where you had the mismatched panels on the bike and whilst it was never going to stay that way, I fell in love with it. The cream coloured primer, the pop of pink, some yellow tape and bits of grey. Have saved it as colour inspiration for if ever I build a custom bike if my own 👌
Haha, thanks mate, and to think, I was guna do it black🤣 I think I still prefer the pink to primer tho 👍🏻👍🏻🤣
Mate, this is quality. Stumbled on this by chance had no idea you had a yt channel.
@@RDYmoto I do mate, ya , tell ya friends, it’s good viewing to sleep to🤣👍🏻👍🏻
I'm in the same boat. Been following on IG for a while, enjoying the progress updates and so really pleased to have stumbled across this.
While I admire your content and great attention to detail. I think the bike looks great but the tail looks a bit less SRAD now you've lowered it. Your bike, your vision. Just my opinion
It’s a modern take on one, not a replica, it also has to flow with the size of the tank and front fairing, in real life it looks perfect, actually, it is perfect 😂👍🏻👍🏻
Can’t wait for the next video!❤
Haha, you having trouble sleeping then my man 🙈 haha, thanks for your support buddy 👍🏼
@@Dustmonkeycreations best bikes I had were the SRAD and the ZX7-R…. I don’t know if it’s because I had them when I was young and they impressed me so stick into my mind forever but I’m still thinking to get some of theirs back…. A modern SRAD or ZX7 would be a dream bike for me at least 😘😍… keep up with the good work mate!!!
very nice mate, coming on better every time! thanks for sharing! :)
Thanks 👍 getting there slowly mate 🙈👍🏼👍🏼
Enjoy your content please keep them coming
Thank you George 👍🏼
You make it look easy, which I'm sure it's not.
Haha, I wish it was, well it’s easy to do, but hard to make it look right 😜👍🏼
This is not possible for everyone as were not all super rich like you. Morrisons the best pizza is out of our price range 😉
Haha, I can assure you, I am not rich! Stupid maybe, not rich 🙈
