No We have to select a number which is present in the factor let us say A(x+1) + B(x-2) = 3x to find A we have to make B zero how to make B zero??? B beside Factor (x-2) make it zero then we can select x =2 substitute in above we get A (2+1) + B (2-2) = 3(2)===>A(3) + 0 = 6====> A = 6/3 ====>A =2 now make A zero how ?? A beside factor (x+1) equate to zero then x= -1 substitute in first equation A(-1+1)+ B(-1-2) = 3(-1) =====> B(-3) =-3 ====> B =1
