Can’t believe how many people justified the mayor beating a women.

After watching the city council meeting on line that occurred on July 9th, and having heard the serious charges being alleged against the mayor in the presented letters, according to MCL 15.268(a), when serious allegations are made against a public official, should not this matter have been discussed in closed session by the council until all of the facts regarding this matter have been established? I realize that once the council comes to a decision regarding all of the information in a closed session, they are then mandated to make their decision known in an open meeting. However, it appears that some council members were comfortable in discussing this matter in open session without regard to the negative light it would cast on a fellow council member to the open community before all of the facts have been established.

As a future resident of Whitehall and long-time visitor to Meinert Pines Park and the Whitehall/Montague area, I am saddened to hear of the Mayor's behavior. Resignation is indeed in order if Whitehall wants to progress, especially for the sake of the youth in the area. Or, vote him out.

So glad this popped up on my feed! As a kid I spent many summers at "the Lake". My grandparents had a cottage at 5318 South Shore Dr. I still dream of those days with fun and family. We were Chicagoans and when I was I my 20's I moved to Wisconsin and landed in Door County, WI. I stayed here because it reminded me so much of White Lake. Love the water and small town vibes. Been a bartender and jeweler up here now for about 30 years. It's life on vacation! So glad to hear that there is a music scene (another thing I love about life here in Sturgeon Bay-the "big city" of Door Co). PaPa bought his place in 1971 the year I was born and sold it in 2000. We survived the Tannery and the nasty water problems and have found out that has all been figured out a while ago now. Is Potter's Putter still there? My sister n I have been talking about a visit and this video has me hooked! I have some old photos I'll dig up and send to your website. Hope it's a great day..and night in White Lake!!! Rock On!
