i feel like the things people dont like about cape town now are a result of late stage captalism taking advantage of the the government, im pretty sure we lost a large portion of those buildings during apartheid. im just upset we lost the trams. a rail network would greatly benefit all people who live here.

That's how we used to live...and....and then came the anc gemors.

The Parliament buildings are now severely fire and water damaged, with each rain allowing more water to enter the building through the destroyed roof, and there's no sign of it being repaired anytime soon. These days the space around the Castle of Good Hope has been taken over by vagrants and criminals; tents, faeces, needles, filth etc. are everywhere. So sad, it's enough to bring one to tears!
