Very Very great song <3
Excellent. Great playing.
True professional. Just keep playing as the music blows away.🙂
Lovely poetic rendition. I first heard this played by Ossian but I prefer your less frenetic version🙂 Thanks for sharing your talents.
Love this version!
Just stumbled across this - exactly 1 year after you posted it as it happens (ok - give or take a few hours). Brings back lots of fond memories!
Braw words and tune !
This is incredibly beautiful.
Just love this Eilidh, it gives me goosebumps.
Beautiful song and performance. Just ordered the CD!
Lovely words Eilidh!
Greetin'
I often listen to this wonderful recording before playing this tune on my Scottish small pipes to get the real spirit of the tune
John Denver's song was made the "second" state song in the 2000s
Your music is very soothing and lovely! Came looking for more after hearing you on Travelling Folk and I'm delighted to have found your channel.

Beautiful!! That certainly brightened up my Sunday morning. Hope you’re well mate. Scott
The bison is gone from the upland, The deer from the canyon has fled, The home of the wolf is deserted, The antelope mourns for his dead, The war whoop re-echoes no longer, The Indian's only a name, And the nymphs of the grove in their loneliness rove, But the columbine blooms just the same. Tis the land where the columbines grow, Overlooking the plains far below, While the cool summer breeze in the evergreen trees, Softly sings where the columbines grow.
We like this great timing by the lad on the guitar
Gie it laldy !
Eilidh Shaw....the only fiddler I really wanted to see and hear when I lived in scotland and was learning the fiddle at community classes. My loss- pure quality.
I love playing this tune on fiddle ! :-) I played it for a competition back in march and hope to play it soon again
Oh boy! We get to see them live here in Flagstaff soon!
Fu'hin good stuff that.
