Good for you man, they have an unnecessarily large amount of awesome tunes scattered about everywhere but in the official lps and albums (give oval moon a shot if you haven't heard it yet)
Personally I think this track was mixed specifically for this comp because it doesn't sound any ae track from '97 era. If you strip it down the closest it gets to is Tri Repetae but it's way to melodic for that cd. Everything on that cd is cold and dark. And Envane went in another direction along with Chiastic Slide which is a dark dark album. Amazing track tho. Thanks for the up.
this was my first listen to this song, although ive been obsessing over them for the past 3 months or so, and I immediately recognized a few noises from chiastic slide (particularly that percussion bit that sounds like a mix of a squeaky door and a whistle, hard to describe). definitely feels a lot like cipater to me.
i think that once ae started to use generative algorithmic software programs like MAX/MSP, their actual compositional flair diminished as they appeared to be more interested in seeing where the algorithms took their pieces than where they themselves took their pieces. before such software, ae was restricted to the more rudimentary, linear layout of traditional DAWs and were forced, by design, to build their tracks by hand, so to speak, showcasing a more architecturally sophisticated compositional aesthetic of a track that told a story and mutated in interesting, emotional, human ways (because those mutations were actually decided by a human, not a piece of code randomly generating music). that's my theory, anyways. the new stuff is okay and many people like it. to me, it sounds like hi-fidelity wankery--and this is coming from a guy who bought every album of theirs, as they came out, from tri repetae to draft 7.30 (i was, literally, a megafan, and considered them to be my favorite act).
+Blair S not entirely sure about untilted, but i remember specifically reading an interview where they said they composed all of quaristice on laptops.
+shmackatrotsky maybe you're thinking of oversteps, because quaristice was certainly hardware based, or at least a good bit of it. i was under the impression that they were still using the elektron/monomachine set-up (see the live shows from that era). they might have fucked with it a bit on the laptop afterwards or alongside, but the original recordings were done on hardware, iirc. untilted was definitely all hardware though.
what a fucking great track this is... fuck...
Blown away by this it's genius! 🤯 - added bonus .... They are both from North Manchester like me 😊
sad
Just realised the brief intro is very similar to some sounds in «PIOBmx19»
Good Autechre track, not great
im here from a mp3 site lol
The song is naked
Black Dog Productions style bass melody!!
super stuff
Love it, thanks😘
Pronounced “Puke”? I only ask this after learning Cichlisuite is pronounced “Sickly Sweet”!!
I pronounce it “Push”
badder then a break beat
2nd October 1997
Absolutely bomb the rhythm and quality impressive 💥😍
...and after 14 years I finally find this and give my ears and mind a real treat 😁 ... Great upload, sending hugs and thanks from Dublin 🇮🇪

This is the most meaningless, yet beautiful thing I've heard....
I think it is from 1994. Never heard it b4.
1997!
@@MondayJulyMonday According to another comment here, it was made in '94
Amazing, almost the same as "milk dx"
This is so good. Hypnotic.
Well, this is - Earthly Paradise - having in mind the Plan of Mount Purgatory. 2 + 7 + 1 = 10
Ummm explain please for us earthlings
this track is crazy good
just came from tubemp3convert. this music is great
glitchy groove ;)
Beautiful project was forgotten in time
came here from example from yt to dropbox website
Early version of cichli?
Great find, thanks !
By far one of their absolute best tunes. The start of the song gives no indication that this song starts to whoop ass!
Me be nude.
I generally try and listen to Autechre. It gives me an opportunity to check for buoyancy.
Shet yer pretentious lips up, close yer eyes, and nod yer head.
this beats is like a "milk dx "from peel sessions 1
this definitely a cut from the chiastic sessions
Indeed...
<3
Great upload, thanks so much
amazing upload!!!!!

Agreed my brother. What's your favourite album?
Very hard to say. Depends on the mood, but probably one of these 3: Tri Repetae, Chiastic Slide, or Untilted
very nice. just noticed your reply lol
late, but it sounds different from the chiastic era because this track was actually made in '94
Nos encanta aquí en RIZOMA Festival & Zentro, Xalisco, México.
It's not [originally] an Australian release. They're from North Manchester area.. it was a uk release in early/mid 90s ..
fuascailt32 The compilation is an Australian release. It features many different artists
excellent beats . reminds me of autechre in the past like amber ... this is beautifull you should listen to it several times.
How do I find a hard copy of this? Amazon, eBay, etc. are no help.
Discogs
Holy crap, found a copy! Many thanks!
can't believe id never heard of this track or compilation. great stuff
I love this
i wish they still pumped out jams like this one. i can't believe i'd never heard this before--unfuckinbelievable!!!!!
+shmackatrotsky they do.

+shmackatrotsky both untilted and quaristice were made on hardware equipment actually
+Blair S not entirely sure about untilted, but i remember specifically reading an interview where they said they composed all of quaristice on laptops.

Great find. I thought I heard all their studio recordings but it's always nice to stumble on little gems like this. Groovy as fuck.
Song combined with release cover = nostalgia
