I think people forget "American" or "country" music goes deeper than popular country-rock-pop-ballads and acoustic bluegrass. What I love here is the almost Cajun(?), southern-Bayou kinda rhythms in the fiddling. That bowing is very Cajun fiddle, and Martie is definitely proficient in several different American fiddling styles. There's honky tonk, blues, Appalachian, Athabascan fiddling, even throw in Mariachi, Tejano and Norteños styles in there! They definitely have a presence in Texas !
