Yesterday tens of thousands of women across the country took to the streets to protest the full on assault by the Christian Right to strip women of their autonomy and right to make their own reproductive decisions. This is my tribute to them and our fight.

10/23/20 On Labor Day, September 7, 2020 a small fire in the foothills of western Oregon grew into a conflagration of immense force and size as hurricane force winds blew it into the canyons that ran toward the verdant Willamette Valley. Within hours, most of the lakeside town of Detroit was destroyed by the flames. Within a week more than 200,000 acres of temperate rainforest, habituate for an...

On September 7, 2020 Oregon's rain forests exploded into flame. In the last days more than a half million people, many living close to Portland, have been told to evacuate. Many are missing and some have died. The fires are continuing to move across the landscape. Firefighters and volunteers are doing what they can to stop the spread of the fire into local communities as well as the outskirts o...

After the pandemic will we return to life as usual, or we will we hold more reverence and gratitude for the gift of living on this beautiful sphere?
Two weeks at Oak Springs Farm.

In September, I had the honor to spend two weeks with three other artists on the estate of Paul and Bunny Mellon in Upperville, Virginia. The name of the estate was Oak Springs, and it encompassed 4000 acres of hills and gardens with the Blue Mountains in the distance. Paul died in 1999, and Bunny in 2014 at the age of 103. Today, their home and grounds, now around 400 acres, is owned by the Oa...

Sweet! We have a birdbath and a tub of water available all year around, just 10 feet outside our patio doors. We have had the deer, raccoon, beaver, and woodchuck come up to drink.
They use to come up to us at Big Sir in the 1960s and eat Pablem from our hards when i was a child.
Can't help lovin' dat Bambi of mine❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ there's are deer farms in Australia, but to have them stroll up to your door would be special
This is moving and so calming. Lovely.
The forests were beautiful, and they will be again, although it will take years for nature to heal those scars.
Every time I turn my ignition, I'm putting my own convenience above others wellbeing and the future our planetary home. May we commit today to changing our ways.
Awesome video showing the after,ath
That last image is searing. It epitomizes both the loss and the resiliency of the Cascades forest.
Your images are stunning..thank you for this.
OMG this is breathtaking! What a gift at this time!

I’m so proud of these kids, very few kids understand that the constitution is everything from freedom of speech and right to bear arms...
I'm proud of you guys for doing this. Keep it up. Get everybody registered to vote/informed about how to register when they turn 18. --Class of 2003
Naseem I agree, Thank you for capturing this.. and Thank you to the students who participated, and those who would like to have but for whatever reason could not.
Naseem-thank you for capturing this! I'm proud of our Silverton High School students! You can and will make a difference-keep using your voice!
Thanks for posting this version of Sound Of Silence. I`ve heard this song from the very beginning (1965) but this is one of the most beautiful performances by Paul Simon. Greets from Holland!
Money talks.
If this 2010 film doesn't make you cry--or at least come close to tears--then we are all doomed. If you're feeling down, don't watch it.
Correctly, the American taxpayer has laid this whole government shutdown debacle right at the feet of the Tea Party "wing nuts."
The best place on earth to hang your hat and work.. They won't let people who love there a right to pass?
Nice. Do you know what kind of birds they were?
Sometimes a collection of images makes a more powerful and long lasting point about a tragic and devastating event than any words could, however eloquent.
Naseem, What a sad and disgusting video. You really nailed this one. My heart is broken, especially for the people in the Gulf Region. We've got to get off petroleum, ASAP
Powerful, Naseem! I am posting the link on FB. I see that the word is spreading!
Very powerful video - such a tragedy!
so very powerful.I will post on my FB page
Wonderful, Naseem. I broke out in tears at the image of the pelican struggling in the oil with its beak open. The depression around this is almost unbearable. Thanks for this film and I'll share on Facebook. Love, Melladee
Naseem, is it okay with you to embed your film in our blogs?
Well done, and I totally agree, we are all to blame for this. Our entire lifestyle, throw away society, instant gratification, keeping up with the Jones's, glutenous society that we are all part of.
How dare we do this to each other.
beautiful, terribl, wonderful, poignant. powerful work. thank you.
Naseem this piece is so moving and powerful. The words linger in my mind, disturbing and yet so strong in their impact/
