djrose007 - A short ride for New Years Eve
Just a short one, with Jazz music to accompany it. The short ride was into Gloucester to meet up with members of the RBL City Branch for a coffee morning at the Lord High Constable of England bar/cafe (Weatherspoons).

djrose007 - A misty, damp, cold ride!
Переглядів 338День тому
Yesterday's ride (28 December 2024) was cold, 5 deg C which is 41f. It was very misty so also very damp having to clear the visor very frequently with a gloved finger of the left hand. Still, a round trip of over 200 miles, it was a great ride even if most of it was motorway/freeway. A bit of a long video this time at just over 50 minutes, over an hour cut out so could have been worse!
djrose007 - A December ride to Ledbury

Yes, it's December and yes, I do have heated gloves! My bike gear is very good also. My Revit armoured jacket has a warm liner, waterproof liner (which also makes it windproof). My trousers are RST and my boots are FORMA, excellent boots that I've had for years. Boots are the same as these ones on Amazon www.amazon.co.uk/Forma-Motorcycle-Boots-Adventure-Approved-Brown/dp/B004SLT1O8/ref=asc_df_B...

The thumbnail is not from the same date. UA-cam appears to have stopped giving options from the video for a thumbnail. It's my bike but taken from the top of Littledean hill, Forest of Dean. About halfway through I say I'm cutting it short as it's the same route back as I took on the outward journey. The video then continues for about an other 20 minutes! Losing my mind I think, or just forgot ...
djrose007 - Night ride to Hardwicke
Переглядів 473 місяці тому
Not a long ride, just over 12 miles round trip, or exciting country roads, but started at 19:00 just as it was getting dark. Heading to the RBL Club in Hardwicke, Gloucester, for the monthly meeting. Music added as my camera was helmet mounted so lots of wind noise.
djrose007 - Ride-Out to HR4K Hereford

Royal British Legion Riders Branch (Gloucester County) on a ride-out to HR4K cafe/bar on the outskirts of the City of Hereford. HR4K is owned and run by a veteran of 22 SAS and is a very popular destination for bikers. I forgot to add the music tracks to the credits. However, after using UA-cam for years I've never clicked on the 'More' button below. This gives a list of all the music included ...
djrose007 - Arnhem & D-Day 80th commemoration
Переглядів 443 місяці тому
Down Ampney, a small village near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, played an important role in both the Arnhem (Operation Market Garden) and the D-Day Landings (Operation Overlord). Training of glider pilots and Parachute practice/training took place there and, for both operations, gliders were towed from Down Ampney to the battlefields carrying troops, equipment, vehicles and ammunition.
djrose007 - Halifax Bomber Commemoration

26 August 2024 - 80th Anniversary of the Halifax MX311 crash into Cleeve Hill. This day was not without a personal incident after arriving to find the 'Car Park' was like a quarry floor. Large stones and gravel embedded into the clay of Cleeve Hill (near Cheltenham, UK). The ceremony was sombre and there were three of us Royal British Legion Riders Branch members amongst the approximately 60 pe...
djrose007 - Ride-out to Shobdon Airfield Café

A great ride from Gloucester to Shobdon airfield via Ross-on-Wye and Hereford. Not a lot of the return journey is on the video or it would have been well over an hour long but we did go via Leominster, Ashperton and Dymock.
djrose007 - Beacon Lighting

After attending at Cheltenham War memorial for the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings I went to an evening Beacon Lighting at Robinswoood Hill, Gloucester. It's a hell of a climb up that hill, especially when you are trying to keep up with the super fit, twice a day running, Richard Graham, who was the MP for Gloucester and is now a candidate until the 4 July general election.
djrose007 - RBLR Day at ACE Café

Pretty much continuous rain on the 2 hour journey from Gloucester to London, North Circular, to visit the ACE Café for RBL Riders Branch Day. Lovely weather while there and then heavy showers, and bits of sunshine, on the way back!
djrose007 - Test ride of H.D. Street Glide
Переглядів 1278 місяців тому
Took the Street Glide from Cheltenham Harley Davidson up the A38 to Tewkesbury, Aschurch, and a leisurely cruise back along the M5. This is not a review, although I've given some of my opinion about the bike. I've used music again as the wind noise when using my helmet mount is just dreadful, it's free, and copyright free, music that is available on UA-cam.

Just watched the first 10 minutes so far. Very enjoyable and takes me back to my biking days. Excellent choice of music too.
Hope you still ride good looking bike
Wow hope you got better fast hope you still ride man I wish we had white ctx’s in America
1966 is the cut off if it’s later than 1966 it’s not in the game bottom line
So Amazing sound 👌🏻💯
love to watch the video and happy to subscribed to you ❤
I'm
Oh dear 1970s prog rock, loon pants and cheesecloth shirts, I’ll have nightmares tonight of being at Fulham football ground. Useful device the mute button! Subtitles easier on the ear. I prefer the ferry which I haven’t used since the madness of brexit, you have a sense of leaving the U.K. behind, chance of a decent break for a meal and the facilities before a long journey into Europe. I live about an hour from Dover and always have plenty of time, the train is faster, expensive, incredibly boring, not very comfortable, poor facilities but no chance of sea sickness.
Best viewed with the sound off.
Love “Here is the news”
Sorry man, I could take that annoying beeping.
Dave, I have no words to express My Sincere Thanks and Gratitude for what you and your fellow Riders did at the drop of a hat for Roy. I don't mind admitting that it was a bit smoky watching the beautifully put-together video for those of us unable to attend. I would love to have joined you, from down here in Cornwall, but work prevented it. It is AMAZING - the power of Social Media when used correctly and the Uniting of Comrades from All Services at All times when called upon to do so. Thank You for answering that Call. Steve L
Thank you so much for coming to honour our friend Roy Brown in such an amazing way…he would have loved this so much x
That was so unstressful on the center stand. hahaha

Hi David, great to see your movie and hear the sound. Nice landscape you are driving in. Regards Tommy. I am a blip photo member and I recognised your bike when I saw this video
Thank you Dad 🥰🥰🥰
I learned that if you take the pressure off the suspensions by using a lift you can move it by hand easily.
Horses wouldn’t slip on their own poo. Ridiculous.
Some mucky weather there, Dave.
Hope Bill Patta is keeping well--Stayed at his sweet shop whilst taking my Part A 2nds, before it became aMcReds Ramble In
Great movie. It is never nice to ride in heavy rain.
P R O M O S M 🤤
Awww can't believe she'll be 5 soon x
For the video two comments. it was the Earl and Countess of Wessex (not Duke and Duchess) and yes that is Lady Louise Windsor. the other royals were the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawerence
I'll happily swap you for a chocolate coin 😁
Nice, relaxing ride at that speed, without the usual bumping and boring of the Gloucester traffic racetrack!
Nice one Dave :)
Lovely music!
Aw they've gone! ☹️🥰
31:52 Mr Teapotone GS is on the right 😄
Mate, some great tunes. Thanks for sharing the trip, I was really chilling to this video and it's tunes, thanks. From a British Army Veteran. Lest We Forget.
I wanted the white one. But no one in my area had one. So I got the red one. I love it. Thanks for the tips
Planning on doing the south route this year. Was thinking of going anticlockwise, due to sun. What made you choose clockwise?
Man that doesn't look like enough room to remove the battery, guess I'll find out tonight
Good luck, it is a bit of a wiggly job! Let me know how you get on. I don't have the CTX now, it just got too heavy for me to push around and, after testing a number of bikes, I finished up with a Harley XL1200T Sportster. It's 100Kg lighter, only 100cc less engine size but a lot smaller and easier to move around. I do miss the CTX for riding though.
@@007djrose done! Seems the last owner just used cork stoppers in the holes instead of replacing the clips 😆 so I'm looking on Amazon now
Thanks for the ctx videos just picked one up, I’ll be needing them . Subscribed to your channel as well brother!
Thanks you Renegade you HAHAHAHAHA You may have gathered I don't have the CTX now, just getting older, and not as strong but I never was a Schwarzenegger! I had planned to do more videos of the CTX but it just got too heavy for me to push around, kept dropping it. Luckily I had the rear, pannier guard, bars from Charlie. They are brilliant, and definitely worth the money even with shipping from the States. Couldn't find anyone local to make them. ua-cam.com/video/cxthw_gbC2k/v-deo.html
Hi David, I do hope your wife loved her special "Frenchic" paint (and what a good husband you are, driving in the rain to collect it for her) Best Wishes Paula @Casa Interiors
Thank you Paula, I'll tell my wife how wonderful I am hahahahaha And yes, she loves the Frenchic.
Great video. 👍
Awesome helped my get my cover off without breaking the bracket
Glad it helped, too late for my bike as the previous owner had already snapped the bracket off! HAHAHAHAHAHA
I love that Honda purr
For all the engineering marvels that Honda demonstrates for making quality engines and transmissions, their attention to ease of maintenance for the battery and air filters on this CTX 1300 makes me think they were only concerned with quick assembly at the plant. What a pain in the asx much of this work is on the CTX. They went into production too soon before making it user friendly.
Agree Kevin, for such a fabulous bike in many other ways the fairing and attachments are quite flimsy. It's quite easy to get at the stuff but the tabs break and mine had a work around with a metal plate and two screws, on both sides this had been done. Loved riding it but I've changed to a Harley XL1200T Sportster, the CTX1300 was just too heavy for me to push around, took me two years to realise it though! They did go into production with a bit of a lash up, only produced them for one year as a trial bike for the new Goldwings coming in 2018. Thanks for commenting.
Looks scary! X
Good video mate like the commentary I would have to agree those are some good roads to get to know a bike 👍
I raise my hat to all those who took the time to attend and make their mark, Well done lads and Lasses!
