#1 - Patrick, O Sullivan (The Wandering DP) - "The Psychology of Cinematography"
Welcome to Episode 1 of the Reasonable Doubt Podcast. In this episode, I interview Patrick O’Sullivan - a Perth-based cinematographer and host of the Wandering DP Podcast where he shares cinematography techniques that he uses in his own commercial and narrative work, news and interviews with some of the world’s most well-renowned cinematographers.
Patrick and I take a step in a slightly different direction - as we approach cinematography from a psychological perspective. We discuss the vital role relationships, networking, and communication play in realising an image in the mind on-set. Whilst we do talk filmmaking, the topics discussed in this episode are relevant to a general audience too and given Patrick’s uniquely intuitive understanding of the psychology, I thought he made for an enlightening guest.

Переглядів 9035 років тому
Bolt is a coffee micro-roastery and cafe located in Hazelmere, WA - where Australia's highest rated coffee is produced, ranking #1 on the coffee review-aggregation app BeanHunter. Recently, I was able to sit down and talk with Steve Lomax - owner, roaster, barista and mastermind at Bolt Coffee - about his background, inspiration and unique and unreplicable roasting methods that have made his bl...
"The Fremantle Bridge" by Mack Taylor
Переглядів 1315 років тому
A shoot was cancelled last minute, leaving a Sony FS-5 un-refundable and in my care for the weekend. Jack and I went to Fremantle to do some filming at the bridge, just as golden hour hit and this is the result. Shot everything at 100p/1080p, which in the edit proved too slow several times so quite a few of the shots are re-interpreted at 50p. Filmed by Mack Taylor and Jack Joseph. Edited by Ma...
