What will happen to CSGO demos? I have like 10 years of demos (about 3000 demos or more) that I've been waiting for a long time to put together into a video... Is it possible that we will not be able to access CSGO demos?

Hearing that it will be ported all in CS 2 and not stay as a single game like 1.6 and Source is like more painful than heartbreaks.

I hope we can at least keep the assets from the game. A lot of gmod addons rely on CSGO assets and the CS2 update will probably break them (or at leat make them inaccessible to new players).

I've been playing since beta 4, I can assure you that these feelings are best kept under the pleasant nostalgia heading as you will ALWAYS long for the days gone by, but will never be able to recapture them even if you can play the old version. Nothing will ever top my early beta memories playing on LAN in the dorms, nor my favorite version of 1.5, and I wouldn't want them to be topped.

it sounds sad that the game will be gone forever, but CS2 is what csgo was always meant to be.. it feels the same as when css died and csgo came out. It was sad that the game i played for years was gone but csgo took this down and made it an up. This is going to be an incredible time for gaming!

I was always a 1.6 man. I've started playing it in 2006 until the pandemic in 2020. Those months when we had to stay at home I came to CSGO. This game gave me a huge hand in getting through those dark months. Feeling nostalgic right now

Started on 1.4 and I’ve loved and respected counter strike for what it was every step of the way. Many memories of playing this with my brothers and now even letting my oldest child experiment with the game from time to time. Excited to see what CS2 has to offer and scared to see CSGO dissolve.

Why so sad, it's basically the same game but better. And crying over the yellow logo is pure cringe since I think the old school valve man logo has way more nostalgia to it. You make it seem like it's going to be worse and like we'll enter a depression when it's released. They won't "erase" it, how would you know. Do you work at valve? This video is one big overreaction full of made up conclusions... Also, comparing this to overwatch is ridiculous, that's a completely different game with abilities and such. OW2 was also cried about a lot and even turned out to be not that bad after all. With CS2, they are trying to make the game a 1 on 1 copy of CS1 with updated visuals, better development support (new engine) and slightly different gameplay mechanics (which they can reverse if they'd suck). Just get over it.

CS:GO players are meant to be doomed, they were egoistic and toxic (compared to an average gamer of course), caring nothing else but THEIR game, I've never seen variety in them except for the newbies, they were all the same people welcoming only those who fit in the same scheme

since i was played cs 1.6 in 2009, then counter strike source in 2015, after 5 years of the potato pc, i got a gaming machine, and install counter strike global offensive, in the new year, my date of the play csgo is 01.01.2021, first account who are banned because i cheated for being dumb ingame, and secondary maded account, buyed prime and etc, i got some skills and, i thinked this game will never dies, the news 3 months ago about csgo will be in source 2, i was so happy to see that, but i didn't know that game will die and gone, a lot of playing, friends, good teamates, and more will be gone, but legends never die, only one thing what i have to prove before CS2 is released was old screenshots of the old CS:GO, but time fly guys and we cannot stop it, i have one more word to say, Goodbye my friend, we will celebrate of release CS2 but in the same time, heart break cause CS:GO is gone. 😥
