When I was a child in the 1960s, we stayed out trick-or-treating until very late at night and went to every house that still had its lights on. Cities and towns now have ordinances that provide what time trick-or-treating starts and ends (it often must end by between 5 and 9 p.,m. depending on the location). Also, in most places in the U.S. trick-or-treating is on the same date as Halloween, but in some places it's celebrated on a Saturday or Sunday before or after Halloween. In this case, we went to 2 different towns because they each celebrated on different days.

It's a dog breed known as the chow chow.

@@mmaphotographer So it is - And thanks for the late reply ! Because the dog was behind a mesh fence, i thought it was some sort of zoo animal !
