Interesting history
I'm new to searching about Tiffany style lamps. Just inherited some, and on bottom it says made in china 2001. I know they are not authentic ones, but do they have any value ? If anyone can answer me it would be appreciated.
I knew people who would take apart old windows and such to then make lamps with the old glass. To really reproduce, especially the lamps with metal work, you need original real glass and be an expert in making the metal work such as the frame for the wisteria, grapevine, and cherry blossom. To make proper dragonfly's you need real jewels and proper etched wings. I used to make my own jewels and I had the equipment to make the wings and most of the caps. The pigtail cap must be hand engraved and etched from one side only. You cannot spin that pattern with it pre etched. I have spent a lot of time trying. Another hard part to make are the lily fitters. I could make them that work but not proper. That takes expensive tooling. Buffalo Studios used to make the best replacement fitter. Are there any more top of the line opalescent mottle glass and drapery glass makers left?
Es realmente precioso es una imagen con emociones. Esta viva.
Hola que metal hutilizas para reforzar las baja y alta de la lampara. Muchas gracias .... Muy bonito resultado,
Beautiful Blessings 🙏🌍😇🌎🙌🪽🕊️🌛✝️☮️🩷🦋🎼😇😎
Imitation is the highest flattery. The "faux" lamps are exquisite nonetheless .❤
No sound is annoying. I couldn’t finish watching.
Hello, thanks for sharing. What are you puting with the pincel before solding ?
Где можно их купить???
There is no voice on your video?
Hard to believe he made that many mistakes
Holding a foiled piece of glass and soldering OVER your bare hands while holding it to the form? Are you insane?
Thanks a lot.Great review.
So beautiful !!!
Where is the sound ?

Good clean lines...nice work!
Hermoso ese trabajo de las lámparas
Buenas tardes me puedes indicar con qué se pegan las lámparas de vitral en plástico mil gracias
I have I got in salamanca antique mall
I love the fake cherry blossom tree. I would rather buy that one lol
Very nice)))
Super
What a find we same queenmotoled glass and Tiffany drapery sheets of glass in our collection as Egon said "Yes" these samples you are showing me are Tiffany!
Same green glass, jewels and drapery glass sheets. in our collection Met Egon in 1973 brought him samples and he said yes they were, some people might know of Jim Schlitz of Milwaukee he was with us. The glass was bought from 3rd generation family of glass artists. We are at the right place and the right time!
to purchase Tiffany pieces. Still have all of it!
and looking for a buyer!
We were at the Right place at the Right time!
My husband Joe Fray met Egon in the 70's and he said Yes your samples you are Tiffany! we still have them in our glass Collection!
I knew one Jim S. out of Milwaukee, WI lampshades produced late Seventy's early Eightes. Unfortunatly he was successful making sheets of glass and selling them through Ed Hoy, Chicago. He commited suicide. So sad. Ed Hoy Glass supplies knows about him and where his fake lampshades could have gone. I've seen one years ago. Watch out!
What is the glass that looks like it has clear area?
I love it very much
Love it ihav
Christmas!!!
Amazing!
beautiful 🌺
Красиво! Лайк!
saw a crime documentary about tiffany windows being stolen from a Jewish cemetery. one of the windows ended up in a Japanese museum. the guy claimed it was preservation as these windows were being vandalised and left to the elements. they would go in of a night tooled up and leave with the morning rush hour
beautiful! Could you tell me if you tinned the ring on top before soldering to glass? How did you accomplish tinning the brass?
i think this is a definition of how NOT to do it, I write from some experience.
Make a video then
Depending on how good you get, these lamps can be built so they look like the were built with small series lead came. Precise fit up, and close attention to even copper tape application, and solder bead up. The method of soldering shown, is basic and crude. Each to his own. I used a acid type patina rub, looked broken blackish tarnish.
I cannot wait to find my fort Tiffany lamp at an estate sale.
yes.
great job, but this is copper foil, not leaded.
Escape Room brought me here.
same
