I knoww its been awhile BUT I cant help myself so- I think the largest issue is Raven has existed since Dick's era and is largely established as normally Dick's age, even through rewrites making her younger. So yes while she's technically younger in the movie, making her Damian's age erases a lot of her past character arcs and removes her from any of Dick or the other titan's stories for Romance Reasons which is cheap and kinda weird tbh Plus her introduction, as well as several other girls Damian's age in various comics, have been introduced soley to be Damian's potential/subtext love interests that later get dropped when its clear the fans arnt into it (plus it happened in a movie alot of people wern't the hugest fans of due to some continuity choices), instead of him having actual friends who later may or may not become his partner. In fact alot of Damian's current character arcs consist of not having any friends or family around while he does his own thing and pushes new characters on him instead And tbh a lot of people just arnt really interested in seeing Damian with anybody romantically rn iv noticed? I think its because even though he's a teenager it just screams too young for alot of the older fans.

I trusted him" is perfect because Nightwing has always been rather forgiving, patient, and understanding for the returned treatment of being viewed as a partner, and with that comes honesty/disclosure. I think the "Me? I loved him" section would be better suited for the 3 three strongest love interests Selina Kyle, Talia Al' Ghul, and Diana Prince. It just seems very befitting considering this is in reference to Batman and he has had a lot of love interests over the years. Finally, Jason Todd would be the 'I'm the damn fool that shot him' since it fits his aesthetic and is something that Jason could potentially do if pushed far enough, However; If that's too dark or close to home then you always have the Joker who could fill that role lol 😂.
