One of the worst inventions ever, to save some dollars per unit, industries waste millions on energy due the vapor leakage.

Some amount of steam will go along with the condensate to outlet before going above the pate or disc

Spelling of "thermodynamic" is strange in the video title.

Can you tell us the reason, why only air is passing through the trap made by condensate via the orifice and not steam, to the vapour collection cavity at the top??

prashil badwaik because if the steam escapes the bucket, it will never gain buoyancy and stay stuck open, not condensing any steam

I used to work in a hospital. All along the main steam line there would be a chitter chatter tapping noise, it sounded like morse code but not beeps. A guy I worked with said it was the traps on the drip legs. It seems like the only plausible explanation, the valve opening and shutting. However, if there are hundreds of taps/chatters a minute, the valve flickering open and shut like that, does that not suggest something’s wrong with the valve? Or is it normal for a trap to chatter like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I tried google but can only find pages discussing using electronic listening devices to hear through the static whether or not a traps functioning correctly. These were thermostatic float traps

Hi sir, it is normal for a TD trap to produce the chatter sound. The cycle is usually around 20sec to 60sec per sound. It is the sign that condensate is released from the line through the TD trap.
