No thats wrong. The change made, that you cant cast between assigning the damage and the damage happening, since this is now one combined action in the combat damage step. There is still a round of priority between "declare blockers" and "combat damage" where every player can cast at instant speed.

Honestly I played it that way until some one explained it counted all of them and of corse I got real excited and they sounded convincing so I just kept playing that way. Thanks again I should have looked it up.

We actually talked about it after the cast it and he admitted he should have just let the Rog/Si dig for the interaction and save his.

Honestly I don’t think he thought there was any way the turn would come back to him so he milled his whole library to put in all his lands in play.

lol you can do that but it might make it hard the next time you play with some one from the table to politic with in future. I’ve played with people that have said I’m not winning off this don’t counter. Then they win. And the next time I play with them I call it out if anything comes up similar. Lol but we are playing to win
