If you wanna farm 1M candy in roughly 20 minutes (longer if you can't get a good loop or have people grieving you}, just go to purgatory and farm the re-spawning chests in an underground area where nobody tends to go. Most spots have 5-10 chests in a small area and re-spawn quickly. They give a lot of candy per chest opened and you don't even have to kill if you don't want to.

Purgatory just gather chests takes like 20-40 minutes
