Post-Divorce Sex: How to Handle Performance Anxiety and New Relationships w/Sexologist Kevin Anthony
After divorce, many men find themselves caught between competing pressures: societal expectations pushing them to "get back out there," internal doubts about their readiness, and uncertainty about dealing with a dating landscape that's radically changed. In this episode, I'm joined by certified sexologist Kevin Anthony to talk about how the approach back to intimacy isn't just about physical connection; it's about healing, self-discovery, and learning to be vulnerable again.
Tune in as Kevin breaks down the key steps to rebuilding your intimacy, why healing takes time, and how to know when you’re truly ready-regardless of when society says you should be. This episode is a must-listen if you’re ready to take back your power to approach dating and sex from a place of strength and confidence.

It is a natural part of the human experience to desire certainty in one’s life. That’s the exact reason why a lot of people choose marriage- it is a hope for the certainty of the future. When a separation or divorce occurs, this certainty gets shattered and we’re left with so many unknowns. Ultimately, our job is to acknowledge the reality of our situation in order to move into accepting what i...

    My wife divorced me after 27 years. It does few years. I learned a good deal from my new relationships too. Toughest part is 19 year old son is more distant than I wish he would be. My ex wife and I now have really nice conversations.

    My xwife was having an affair with her doctor. Classic I know lol. No kids so I just got in my truck and left everything. Clothes, home, business and I mean everything. It's been a second chance at life. I hiked for 1500mi for six months last year. Now I brew beer for work, fly airplanes and a lot of other fun stuff. Life is good and I'm usually the coolest guy in the room:)

      @Divorce Coaching for Men that's just a very small piece lol. Right after I got divorced I worked a sweet job for couple months. Then my mom developed full blown alzheimers and my dad lost his mind too. I was their caregiver during 2020. It was so brutal. Didn't even have the energy to worry about the divorce. Sadly my mon passed early in 2021. Then my brother raided the house and stole all he could from our dad. I just dropped everything again LMAO and hit the Appalachian Trail. Best thing I could think of at the time lol. Buy I would do it all again. There is still a lot more to my story for sure. Definitely a lone wolf but it's fun most of the time. Thanks for your video!!

    There isn't a handbook for life, for marriage, for relationships. That's the key. Stay the course to your own path, helping your heart, understanding who you are - and being THAT guy no matter what. Taking accountability is key for any/all who have divorced. It is the only way we grow and learn. Not every part of marriage is/was horrible, or none of us would've been there in the first place. Some seasons are good, others are difficult, and most brought us through stronger - or so we had hoped. There are ways to grow from the blindside. Men, I've learned, seem to take this differently than women do. I am learning after 10 years of divorce. There are a lot of wonderful people out there. Work on yourself, get crystal clear about your future, and do not lose hope.

    Never get married. These hoes cannot be trusted. 90% of American women are liars and are on some kind of pill because they have psyc issues. They are depressed, neglected, you don't give enough attention, 1 out of 3 has had abortion. Marry a foreign woman and move to her country. Do not bring her to the states or she'll be ruined.

    77% of all divorces are initiated by women. So always watch out for yourself. Get a bank account away from your wife’s. And if she stays then you have a nice retirement. Also don’t 100% commit with your heart. That way when she breaks it it doesn’t hurt as much. And if you decide to get married again. Don’t have joint accounts. And don’t commit 100%.

    • @divorcecoaching745

      Iver, thank you for sharing this perspective. Seriously! It's a common one, and I understand where it comes from. I truly do. This doesn't have to be our stories, though. We have the power to create different ones. I'll share my perspective. It's not to change yours, because yours may work for you. It's merely to give other readers another point of view. I've seen the 77% stat. It might be true, but it is also a convenient way for us to say divorces are mostly women's vault. To move beyond, we need to take 100% responsibility for the role we played in the relationship, period. Break-ups are 100% her fault and 100% his fault. Without this equal accountability, we get the live with some level of blame. This blame cords us stay to the pain of the divorce. It allows the divorce to define us, and hinders our ability to move on with our lives being the person we want to be. Hiding money is financial infidelity. When you are tempted to hide it (which is a natural protective inclination) realize that the money is a resource to either invest in working on your relationship, or invest in working together to create a healthy exit. Use your money to invest in positive outcomes. There is no size of account that eliminates divorce pain, not even Tom Brady's. Hiding money is a scarcity, fear-based reaction. One can't receive abundance when they operate in scarcity. I understand it's scary to recommit. I just remarried. I am familiar with the thought process. However, not committing to anything you choose to do in life is a recipe for a let down, if not a failure. If a person chooses to stay in non-marriage relationships, commit to that 100%. If a person chooses to get married, commit to that 100%. But, think twice before staying in, or entering, marriage if you are not willing to commit 100%.

      This is terrible advice. You are preparing for divorce from the first moment of your marriage. That marriage will be tainted. You are treating the woman who probably has done nothing wrong yet as the enemy from the very start. A marriage started like this will not work. If you can't trust your spouse from the beginning to this degree, then don't get married.

    • @divorcecoaching745
      @divorcecoaching745 2 роки тому

      You always have hope. However, what's within your control is your decisions, choices, and responses. Her decisions, choices and responses are not in your control. Hope is great if managed correctly. Attachment to hope can be harmful because when an action beyond your control blocks what you hope for, then that hope (or desire) bounces back and creates suffering. The suffering is around wanting something you cannot have.

      My wife of 10 years advised me that she wanted a divorce. She wasnt helping me with the kids or chores. She didnt want me touching her. She was going to let me have our young kids and the new house so she could "find herself". Two months after she moved out, she wanted to come back, her affair partner was not working out. I could never trust her and I didnt want to go through this again with her later on, so I told her No. I filed for divorce and got it done in 5 months. The kids are grown now and married. Divorcing her and moving on with my life was something I never regretted.
