Boise State’s environmental studies course is getting hands-on experience as to what environmental issues currently face Boise.
ENVSTD121 students have fully immersed themselves into the real-world climate problems that surround them. Students are working with Idaho’s Fish & Game to combat the fire issues that have been plaguing Boise summers. Dr. Rice discusses the impact of working with community partners and we hear from the experience of the student leader James Grantham taking on the Fish & Game project. Kara Brascia, the Director of BSU’s Service-Learning Department, also makes an appearance and sheds light onto the importance of service-based courses.
