That's wonderful to see the owl with the rat. I wonder if it ate the rat or took it back to its nest to feed its young ? You can locate a nearby nest on a quiet night by listening for the young hungry owls calling to the parents for food.

How did you know where to find the footage on the video? Presumably the camera was running all night?

I have one of these too. It looks much better than it plays, imo. The luthier who makes them seems to have been improving his design, and at such a competitive price-point, I am almost tempted to try again with a newer version. Unfortunately, buying a violin without playing it first is not a very good idea unless it is a well-known model, hence I am stuck still saving up for a Woods Viper...but those lack the cool rave lights!

What a complete tool. Same rules in a car or on a bike. Lay back and wide. Make sure you can see fully the road ahead and only if you can get past with plenty of time to spare then go for it. Guessing gets you killed.

I bought one of these second hand recently. I'm a complete beginner and this fiddle has a surprisingly good tone for the price. I paid £30 for the full kit with case and bow. I think they are £60 new. The strings aren't good though. I put on a set of Dominant strings and it sounded much better, mind you they cost more than the fiddle! I listened to the Chantry against a Stentor 2 which costs £170 in a music shop and there was no real difference in the sound of both violins so I can definitely recommend this. 🙂

Do you know what kind of pickup it uses? It sounds very natural.

Hi Mac - I'm the bloke that bought this fiddle from you! It's still going strong, I play in a classic rock band called Rooster's Cat.

How long ago was this video made? It looks quite old. We know the area and always wondered who owns the lake and what it is used for. Fishing seems to be very small scale, if at all yet the grass is always cut.

Just a point...this is a small mandolin banjo and not a "Ukulele" or a "Ukulele Banjo" mandolin banjo's have 8 strings which are usually metal strings and both the Ukulele & Ukulele Banjo have 4 strings which are always made of gut or nylon....
