😊😊👌🏻
Har en yt660 men funderar på byte till 970etd, stor skillnad?
Hei, ja det er stor forskjell på de to😊 970’n vil være mye sterkere og mer brukervennlig.
Torbjørn seems to have control, as always!
😊😊
Do you have to gap the new plugs or are they pre set ? Great video.
They should be pre gapped, but I always check just in case.
This video seems to have gone out months ago. But for those who have a similar problem. Drain the petrol out of the petrol tank put new petrol in it change the engine oil with the proper grade oil. Change the plugs and if you have an air filter on the bike change it. Finally if the bike starts take it out for a run for 30 mins until the engine is properly warmed up. Bring the bike back to the garage and leave it there do not be tempted to go out and start it as you will only put it through another heat cycle. Only start the bike when you intend to ride it. Ex Racer and mechanic,💯
I ask you to tell me how to make a move back faster on a Honda
You can do some adjustments on the wire at the controls and down at the hyd. Pump.
Thank you
It's not true that the bike has not been driven, it has been ridden some hundred kilometers every year since 2007 when I bought the bike. Except from one year, when the bike was only started.
Do you know if the LSD functionality of the LX SRT8 differential can be transferred to late model e55s? Ik the ring and pinion for the 3.06 can be used but I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if the locking mechanism is compatible
Hi, in a torsen diff there is no locking. It a pure mechanical brakeing function to keep both axles at the same speed, how do this more/stronger as the torque you put on the diff input shaft increases.
By most accounts, not a great streetbike- (when compared to a mid 90s GSX-R750) but what a fantastic racebike.
Yup, iconic piece of motorcycle racing 😊
Partly agree, but I have a VFR750F RC36, 1996, as my everyday road bike. That's a great machine, too. With the right improvements on the suspensions (Race Tech Gold in the front and a WP in the rear) it's still a brilliant roadbike 30 years after it became invented. It doesn't look obsolete, either.
What a cool bike...to only have the money 💰
Oh, yes😊
What are the part number for the ring gear bolts?. Need help, Thanks!
Sorry, dont have them numbers by hand, but they are the same bolta i both diff’s, 10 in the small, 12 in the big.
I run a 1999 5th Gen VFR800 which is based on this bike, RC45's are awesome machines, you're a lucky or very rich guy to be owning one.
This was a customer bike, but yes its a very nice machine😊
He, he, I'm not very rich but I was lucky to pick up the bike when the prices where somehow not that crazy. With some help from a friend I was able to buy the bike in 2007. It has given me goosebumps every time I have ridden it since. It still does!
After market air filters really, really end up fking you. Just use OEM if you are on the road. For going all out, risks have to be taken. At the end of the day the supercharger is fragile. And the engine internals are fragile. But it depends on purpose. I can't afford that bike, I ride a zx 14. I always go OEM.
BMC filters are the best option for the kawa h2sx if you ask me😊 The flow very good, and supports over 290whp
Feel sorry for you that you bought VRP Chinese drop shit overpriced junk and supporting the scam artist Philipp Latilli.
I have original Dräxler LSDs (45% locked) for sale. Fits in many different models. IMHO better than 100% locked Quaifi or Wavtrac aftermarket units for regular street drivability.
Price of this blow off valve?
See extreme creations in Australia, they sell it😊
Very nice work! Don't you need to put some preload on the bearings before putting the snapring in? Just asking because maybe I try to overhaul my diff too :)
No preload, you need some slack to get the right amount of backlash 😊
Thanks for the great information! I could not believe that the bearing shells would like to come off but after removing the snap rings they simple "fell" out without any preload, perfekt👍 the breakaway moment I felt came only from the pinion bearing
@@baadumtss33 yes, that’s correct 😊 pinjon break out is somethin.
Very intressing to see ! I have a vfr 800 1999 my self ! Nice engines !😊
Sounds sooo good😎
Dream bike
Yes, beautiful bike😊
good lord that is sweet!
😇👍🏻
I have a 2004 and my differential is severely whining. I bought a used one off eBay, are there things I should freshen up before giving it to my mechanic to install?
Hi, Yes absolutely. What type of differential do you have? The one with screwed half shafts ?
@@Flenstadtekniske it's from a 2004, I believe it has slip in axles. Could I email you photos ?
@@tooththrhr yes You can, tekniske@flenstad.com
@@Flenstadtekniske ok I'll email you tomorrow or Saturday. Thnx
Those fender liners are nice
Yes, They are👍🏻
Is it loud does it bother you like some people say or with the wind noise is not too loud?
Not loud at all😊 But can be a bit tired of it when driving slow if you have stage 2 gears
nice Video thank you.. but seems to be a lot of work! where do you come from? greets from Berlin!
Hi. Thank you. Yes it’s a big job, especially when you fit a new pinion and ring gear. But to just fit a new Quaife / internal it’s less work for sure 😊 I’m located in Norway, Trondheim
We wait for the third part:) first i have to check which differential i have.. still dunno how to look for it. Do you have the partnumber of the early style and late style differential housing?
@@onursan2854 all this is answered in the first video😊😊
Does this replace the whistle?? I got a zh2 with a BOV and i can still hear the whistle loud and clear on it
Hi! The whistle comes from the supercharger impeller wheel. This is boost related, so no😊 This will add to the whistle.
@@Flenstadtekniske hi, i know that its coming from the proppeler but in this vid i dont hear it thats why i was asking it but thanks for clearing the confusion. Im gonna buy the latest sx soon and get it to stage 2 when the ecu is finally cracked
@@Sjsiisnwbe okay, I see😊 The impeller sound is best in front of the bike, near the air inlet. 😉 This blow off valve is on the opposite side.
Hi, thanks for the very helpful video, I have a A2303510105 Differential how do you get the two Diff seals out of the diff housing?
Hi, if you look into the video (part 2) it’s show how these are fitted. Removal is in reversed order
Ok I'll try heating then hitting with rubber hammer@@Flenstadtekniske
@@solarpanel9310 yes, but be carefull with the heat, they have some rubber on them. Good luck😊👍🏻
@solarpanel9310 That number doesn’t tell anything about the diff. It’s the part number of the housing.
@@Bastard_Operator_From_Hell So your saying you've never seen that type of number before? the type of number starting with A?
hi,just watched both of your videos very informative as there is not much info on what i need i have a w221 s63 2009 i have a noisy diff trying to source ring and pinion gear plus bearings seems to be very difficult to buy mercedes will only do a change over at stupid money i am in australia so any help would be great.
Hi, So glad to hear you found the videos informative 😊 Do you have a part number for your ring and pinion? You can send me an email if you want, and I’ll check what I can do for you. Tekniske@flenstad.com
Lovely to see another blue in the wild, I have two YS828 (track and wheeled) from the 90s and a new 1028 that was imported down here from Canada.
😊👍🏻 cool, fellow Yamaha folks are the best😊
I’m team Honda but I’d love to try a Yamaha. Here in the states I never see them brand new
Hi, Yes it has been the same here in Norway. Honda’s are everywhere, but Yamaha’s haven’t had any dealers in my area- but they do now😊 so had to try it out. It’s good quality, but not quite like the Honda I think.
@@Flenstadtekniske I like the joystick better on your Yamaha. Faster!
@@appleztooranges 👍🏻😊
@@appleztooranges watch the video. The Honda chute is faster.
if the bike has only been started and not rode the plug will turn black in no time....needs to be rode.....the fireblade was the same....black plugs in no time from just starting......
Jup. Absolutely necessary to get some real heat in it once it’s started😊
In Canada YT 6/24 EJC. 6 HP. 24 inchs. For the electric motor. put a stronger battery . prefer the larger tracks on Yamaha. Toots on auger... for big ice chunks...
😊👍🏻
Great video. Had a few cars with ZF clutch lsd in the rear diff, but never tried Quaife rear, only on front diff. Are the original diffs "Mercedes" differentials or ZF produced? I see more and more diffs with welded ring gear on newer cars, both BMW and Alfa does this. Newer Alfa diffs are ZF produced, I see Mercedes ML and alot of VAG products also use ZF diffs. Makes fitting a different diff even more complicated with welded crownwheel.
Hi! Thank you very much. Glad you liked it😊 The Mercedes differentia and transmission (at least the automatic ones) are made by Mercedes. Yes a welded ring gear would be nearly impossible to change🫣
Man I wish we got this much snow
Yes, I agree. This winter has been low on snow here also…
Beautiful bike !!! My rc51/sp2 was doing exactly that I thought it was just stale fuel but turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator leaking fuel and fowling the spark plugs over time whilst it sat !! Changed that & cleaned the plugs and was fine .
Yes, stunning bikes these rc45’s😊 Glad you got that sorted out👍🏻
Excellent review Very comprehensive
Thanks 😊👍🏻
Honda does make the best snowblowers! My next one will be a Honda. I see you keep your shear pins in a medicine bottle attached to your snowblower. I do the same on my Cub Cadet. Mine has 6 shear pins. I only broke one. It was the only one I couldn’t reach so off it went to the shop.
Hondas are some really great machines 😊👍🏻
@@Flenstadtekniske If you look on my UA-cam page you’ll see my Honda generator EU 7000is. I’m blow away at how good it is. I have the best one money can buy in a roll out model. I love mine soo much I talk it up when ever I’m on no light calls for power. I’m a lineman for the local power company. Who better to know who makes the best. Unfortunately we hardly ever loose power. We came out smelling better than roses when our state got slammed by storm Isais. My neighbors all lost their power for 2-1/2 days. We were on back up power through our Honda. We were running the entire 1700sqft house with 2-1/2 ton central air. It ran the entire time with our auxiliary tank only needing to be refueled once at the end of day two. I’d come home in the morning to a cool house & take a warm shower from working a suicide shift & lay down to sleep for 5 hours before getting back up to go back into work again. My neighbors hardly slept & lost all their food. No one knew we were on generator. It’s that quiet.
is this rwd? if so, how do you drive it in snow?
Hi! Yes it’s rwd 😊 I don’t drive it the winter. Mostly because of the salty roads. But some times it ends up outside and cold starting is bound ❄️
I have a Briggs and Stratton snowblower called the Grey Gobblen 👍
Cool😊
I use the Yamaha YT1070 snow blower, and this model is also the best.
Good for You👍🏻I would like to test out the 1070 sometime😊
Good work with handsame machine
Thank You 😊
6hp is to little ,you should have at least 8, i had the yamaha 828 and it was great ,now i have the 9 hp honda with the works and it's better but so expensive ,was like $5100😮 but i'll have it for life i think ...
Yes. Engin power is key. I have a Honda 1380 as well, and this is another world. But the little Yamaha keeps impressing me. I must admit 😊 We’ll see how it does when the snow gets heavy ❄️
Bought the same car
Good choice 😊👍🏻
norge
Jup😊
Looks a lot like the Honda's and maybe the Toro's but blue, which I like. I don't think we can get these in the USA. Yamaha makes really good equipment as well as the others I mentioned. Nice video I hope it does well for you! You guys really need them up there. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Hi, yes seems to be made of good quality 😊 Very similar to Honda as you said, have had that same thought. Thank you so much, happy new year to you as well!
Be sure to use no ethanol gas if its available in your country. Its better for your machine. For a 6 HP machine it does a nice job throwing the snow.
Yes, we have to options here in Norway, regular 95oct (same as 91 in the us) with e10 content. And then 98oct (same as 93/94 in us) with no ethanol in it. I use only 98 I all my engine.
That's interesting. We have in finland 98oct with 5% ethanol only. Would be better without it but not that big issue. Works fine with that too.
@@hessuhopolainen yes, absolutely best without the ethanol. Are you sure it’s 5%? In Norway the sticker on the pump says e5 but there is no ethanol in the fuel. Was some sort of eu regularly that demand e5 sticker even if it’s 0%
@@Flenstadtekniske Pretty much yes. Norway is not in eu. You may have different legislation about it. Could stickers be just for making tourist life easier?
And of coarse there are aspen etc. But I prefer 98 E5 over it. Much cheaper and potential issues are low. Just start engine with fresh fuel and it will be fine. In case you forget to drain last season fuel. It doesn't gum up carburettor neither if used yearly.
You didn’t make that! They’ve been selling those for years
I most definitely made this exhaust system😊 Remote and some small parts are bought. But is all hand made and welded together right here.
My exhaust isn’t loud officer. It must’ve been the other guy!
Exactly 😂😊👍🏻
Very good blower for a 6 hp love your Blue nice ( ty Ron
Yes, they work good all 6 of them 😊
Have the same machine. Amazing. Steel and build quality seems thicker and more robust than Honda, which I also considered before buying.
Build quality is absolutely mint 👌🏻💯
