Robinson Crusoe as First English Novel or Not
This was so helpful!! One of my uni essays is on Amores, translations by Marlowe and Melville so thank you!!
this needs much more views.
cute kid will be great writer in future ..
Very helpful video for my midterm essay. Thanks for this analysis.
🙂 Nice review. Thanks.
I agree, I love your videos, they are well thought out and clearly delivered. This channel should have WAY more subscribers.
Hahah, glad I just watched this I started reading it and skipped straight to the poem
Such a shame that Spencer never finished the poem. But part of me wonders if he'd've been able to create a satisfying ending.
It's funny that Spencer chose Arthur to be a paragon of virtue, even though in the mythos he's not a very virtuous character.
This is very informative and underrated!
Nice🎉
the rattle toy isn't disturbing your audio here. Thank you
Loved this and it seems like more people should be mindful of words and their meanings, as it has a way of changing entire world views
Very interesting. Thank you!
Great video. Thank you!!
A+ video! Very helpful for understanding the topic, thank you so much for making the video!
Thank you; this is a great introduction!
"Part of their power is they seem culturally familiar to us" -terrifying and true
SO THOROUGH thanks
A pkay I have always loved and I enjoyed so much listening to your analysis of the play and of Tamburllaine’s character and motivations. Thank you
It's beautiful and soothing to see how the baby falls asleep hearing Mr.Marino's voice.
thank you James
So helpful! You’re wonderful! Thank you!!
I by chance bought this book, the title seemed interesting. After reading it i was shocked to learn it was written in 1975. It is so fresh, relevant and post modernly brave and open! Thank you for the interesting analysis, it was nice to hear a man's view on it.
Such excellent, stimulating criticism. Sincere thanks.
Loved the explanation about the irony and the prioress' figure, thank you!! 😊
Finally, the penny's dropped. Thanks my man
Yes…I loathed Pale Fire at first read. I went to the gym and exercised the right muscles, reread it and loved it. The story is open to interpretation and one can latch on to some wonderful prose along the way. What else would a reader want! Nabokov is laughing his ass off right now I imagine as he should…we will keep his flame 🔥 strong.💪🏼
Thank you for this video
I noticed in reading Best Of anthologies that many stories originally appeared in themed anthologies. Where do you find THOSE markets/calls for submissions?
Good question. The Submission Grinder website does a good job updating markets. And there are various online market lists, especially for SFF markets. I don't have a favorite at the moment.
Writing a paper on Marlowe, and absolutely loved the claim that the poetry is the magic. Do you know of any sources I could read to learn more on the subject?
Unfortunately, that point was just me. My teaching videos, like my face-to-face classes, are a mix of background information, scholarly consensus, and my own arguments and speculations. This time the point you liked was just me arguing
Thank you!!! There is a shocking drought of literary content on the internet ;( I'm not very smart so I appreciate the help stuff like this gives me
I think It's amazing how you can discuss Nabokov's 'Pale Fire' and be a baby sitting Daddy at the same time.
This is one of the best explanations and so enjoyable i wish you were my teacher!!
"I wasn't at the meeting" LOL
Thank you
Great videos.
Enjoy your videos they are helpful.
Great analysis.
Really interesting point that shows how incredibly skilful Jane Austen was
Amazing learning experience:>
Thank you for sharing this sir! God bless you!
No one, I mean no one, has made me laugh harder while revising.
I saw this show last night. It was phenomenal
:D great video! Thank you so much!
Sometimes you just need someone to say something you've heard a million times in a way that makes sense to you. You're a great teacher.
How is it that you have zero feedback from this video? I thought it was wonderful advice. You sound very knowledgeable and I appreciate the insight. I will do my best to focus on the positive when receiving rejections. Thank you 🙏
So nice to have someone break it down. Thank you a ton!
Great work 👏 thanks 😊
Wow! When I read this for myself I assumed that limping was a more metaphorical reference to an overall bad reputation. Never considered this! It adds so much to that part (which is actually my favorite monologue of his)
