@@tomspeight8538 small world! I must admit, walking in on race day I was hoping for a McLaren 1-2 but I was equally as happy with the results at the end.

@@BL00MYB0Y that's great to hear! I've been fortunate to make this my 18th British GP on the bounce (if you ignore 2020 🙄). It's hard to pick my favourite of his 9 victories but 2008 was very special. Recently seeing Carlos Sainz take the honours a couple of years ago was great and was a very popular winner, certainly much more than max.

@@RichW3440 wow 18, that’s brilliant. I’ve been going with my dad to Silverstone, but I’m not sure he will be up for going to any more. He’ll be 73 later this year and is not capable of walking very far anymore 😥. I have been to Monza back in 2003 and Catalunya in 2004 and 2005 with some friends from my old work place. So glad I got to hear the screaming V engines 😍

@@BL00MYB0Y thank you, it's a personal record I hope to continue for as long as I can afford to do so. I've also been to Monza and Montreal and I hope to go to Barcelona before it goes to Madrid from '26. 🙂

It was a great experience. When the pitlane light goes green on Sunday, I still get the same goosebumps I got from the first Grand Prix I went to as they make their way to the grid.

Exactly the same for me.

I agree and remember it well, I was sat opposite the podium on the pit straight under a roof made of umbrellas! We watched the race through the little gaps and raised them to cheer him on every lap he came past and quickly put them back down. We got soaked but it was worth it to be part of the atmosphere and the moment to say "I was there, first of many Silverstone wins".

@@RichW3440 the last time someone used an airhorn at a modern f1 grand prix was at last year's hungarian grand prix

@@BrianCash-sq4fs Thank you for the feedback. Have a look at getting to a European race if you can? I'm currently researching and saving up for a trip to Spain for the last GP to be held in Barcelona next year. You can combine a race with a long weekend holiday so it's win win!

Thank you for the comment and subscription. I've only just got into the world of posting my videos on here so I'm still finding my feet and what people like. I intend on going out to see the Stratford flyer tomorrow so keep your eye on another video or 2 coming soon. Always good to get feedback and I'll take a look at your channel when I can.

@@sykesman2266 I guess it wouldn't hurt to have had a coach or 2 for the public, even if they were plonked on the end.

@@RichW3440 I had got it planned out and ready but in an email I got before we entered 2023 they said that although the date for the trip had been settled on they wouldn't be in contact with people taking bookings for the trip until the new year & by February they still hadn't been in contact. It was only after Feb 10th that they got in contact with people and confirmed the departure time. With the departure time they had set there was no way I could get to Moor Street from Southport intime to board the tour & nowhere in Birmingham was available. However should another trip like this take place i'm gonna make sure that I do sort out overnight accomodation. Me becoming a shareholder in the company didn't go down well with some people though as some said I shouldn't have been allowed to become a shareholder & others said that Tyseley only let me become one as they desperately wanted money because they were too poor to pay for an operating licence themselves. Atleast I did something which is more than those muppets ever had or have ever done, unlike them I decided to contribute and help while the rest of them didn't bother to give Tyseley a single penny.
