    A latch that secures down instead of horizontal would be better for this issue

    • @usefullifetips9034
      @usefullifetips9034 Місяць тому

      @@BURZ3M Good ideas! 3 of my gates had gate latch failure due to the ground shifting under the soil. Usually it's after a hard rain season. Sometimes a fence post will shift downwards, but sometimes the earth will spread the fence posts farther apart, or sometimes it will tilt the fence posts in any direction. This as applies to outdoor retaining walls and etc. affected by the shifting soil. But it's good people in the comments are thinking about this issue.

      True! But it gets frustrating having to fix these gate latches every 2 years. I'm to the point where I would rather make my own design to withstand the ground shifting, that way I don't have to keep adjusting it. I guess that comes with the territory of living on a hillside.

      True. Even if I attached a padlock to it, if someone wanted in, it wouldn't take much to break the wood & screws loose. The more secure gates are usually built out of metal on a solid concrete foundation which will may shift, but not as bad as when u build a gate in soil imo.

      See how it's crooked? that's why the original coupling cracked. He's making a home made repair coupling "like copper" we do a swing joint. 90-up both sides, 90-over. Takes out the slight stress on the pipe. But his method I will try if it's straight.

    • @usefullifetips9034
      @usefullifetips9034 Місяць тому

      @@whitething-j9dIt's actually straight. It's just the dirt was dug out under the pvc piping. The end cap on the right had a tiny drip from the threads. When I removed both end caps, they were way to easy to remove. I don't even feel comftorable using compression couplings above ground. I too have thought about the 90° elbow method to give it some wiggle room but was concerned it would slightly obstruct my water pressure. The method of using a coupler & shaving off the inner middle ring worked like a charm. I installed the modified coupler last & worked quickly as the primer & cement will get messy & set fast. Always smart to wear a disposable glove. Search my channel for video: Do not use a slide repair coupling / You will see the final product in the background. This is the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. At first I regretted ever buying it because I found it wobbly the first time I wore it. But after a few days it felt more and more comfortable to wear. You just have to give it a chance to work around how you walk. As for the design issue, the rear of the shoes where part of it is protruding is the problem as it sometimes get caught when going down the stairs.

    • @usefullifetips9034
      @usefullifetips9034 3 місяці тому

      U find these shoes comfortable? Take a picture of ur feet barefoot. Id be interested to see how narrow ur feet are? 🤣 U must have narrow feet. U would probably be able to fit in Nike Airmax 90's & Nike Airmax Excee's. They have some of the most stylish colorways & designs, but waay to narrow for me. If immediately I feel an issue with the shoe, I wouldn't gamble it & wear it for 3 days & go to work. Because after you wear it to work for 3 days, ur not ethically supposed to return them to the store. So that would be a gamble. I settled for the New Balance 327's which look similar. They are stylish, wide, & bouncy. Like u, I end up stepping on the inner side of the other shoe when I stand with my feet close together, lol. It's an innovative design, it's gonna happen. Im glad the Retropy's worked out for u! 😎

      I will buy a new pair of retropy soon. My feet are not narrow. I find the fit of Adidas better than Nike and I find some Nike slightly heavier and sometimes no support. As for New Balance, my issue with them is that they are very slippery when walking on wet surfaces especially rain, no grip or traction.

I liked the Adidas Superstars for practicing break dance power moves & Capoeira acrobatics. They are built to last & protected my feet. I like the Nike Airmax SC because they are lightweight & comfy, but are not built for heavy duty use. Like there's no support, they are for fashion only. They are imo only for ex. walking into the post office to mail a letter, lol. The Nike Airmax 90's are a chunkier shoe, but i can't fit in them. My New Balance 327's, i havent noticed they are slippery on wet surfaces. They have these crazy 3d circles all over the rubber tread. Also alot of the foam skecher shoes made of lightweight material, don't ask me why, I've found make your feet sweat. Don't get me wrong, u walk around for 1 hour, u gonna have sweaty feet, but I notice it more with certain lightweight composite foam styles of skecher shoes.

      This is to let u know some youtube reviews may be accidentally misleading. Before purchasing this item I searched youtube to see if these dispensers were quite. It appeared so. But not so. So I'm returning it & will purchase one that says " Low noise working" & then post a new video review. I rate this current water dispenser 3 out of 5 stars because of the noise. But who knows, maybe the new " Low noise" dispenser makes the same amount of noise.

      I wouldn't necessarily say they are trash. For me I just need them for the next 4 months to haul drywall & lumber. It was either pay $70 for this or $600 for the oem recommended one. After 4 months I will probably remove it due to the noise & reduction in mpg. It's easy to install & will be in storage if i ever need it. I'd really feel bad if I paid $600 & put it in storage 4 months later. 🤣

    I have the same one and it does fit a queen sized blanket, but it's a thinnish cotton waffle stitched blanket, but it's still a fairly warm blanket. With this machine, you'd be better off having like 2-3 of those types of blankets to layer so you have the same warmth of a thicker blanket. Another thing you can do is fold the blanket up first, in order to get rid of all the folds that create pockets of empty space inside the blanket that give you less space in the washing machine. As long as you're not trying to clean something that has caked dirt on it, it doesn't need a lot of space to freely agitate. Most laundry just needs to simply get wet with soap to pull away dust and odors, which doesn't need a lot of agitation from a laundry machine. The real main issue with these machines will primarily be blankets and pillows though, although you can buy relatively thin pillows that will fit if you fold them in half, or memory foam pillows that can better conform to the washing machine while still fitting. But it is certainly do able to do all of ones laundry in these, it's just that you have to make mindful decisions about the things you buy when it comes to blankets and pillows.

    Can't expect the quality control to be anything but "the cheapest" when you intentionally buy something that's "the cheapest".

      True. It seemed strange that alot of people on youtube had no problems installing it. After a couple hours I figured out a solution. It actually looks good & feels very secure. It was $70 vs.the $600 Mercedes recommeneded brand. Only time will tell. I will post a 1 year update to report the pro's & con's.
