Good how did you get the 0.5?
The brain behind that is simply that the class interval is not the true class limit(boundary). But was declared by the researcher by assumption . So statistically, to find the true class limit(boundary) the standard statistiacal measure is to add 0.5 and subtract 0.5 to both the lower class interval, and upper class interval respectively.
Why was 0.5 used in subtracting and adding in the class interval?
